Your hunt for a vegan Easter egg is over. Good old Aldi, our go-to for bargain groceries and of course the pom pom making kit, inflatable canoe and solar fairy lights we didn't know we needed has delivered again. This time, they have made Easter that little bit more inclusive with their brand new Moser Roth Free-from Egg costing 4.99 for 200g.

The 65% cocoa solids eggs is dairy, wheat and ironically egg-free. It is therefore also suitable for people with milk, wheat and egg allergies, but unfortunately not for nut-allergy sufferers as it comes packaged with delicious hazelnut truffles.

It is one of a line of new vegan-friendly products from Aldi, following on from their Veganuary success which included jackfruit pizzas, vegan sausage rolls and other plant-based treats. And if dark chocolate is not your thing, don't worry as there is a honeycomb Moo Free Easter Bunnycomb egg available for just 3.49.

All are available in store now. We'll be stocking up so make sure you get there soon.
