DSVV is a manmaking univeristy visioned by Pujya Gurudev.It is established by the Act of Uttaranchal Government 04, 2002, Dehradun on 11th April 2002.It is duly recognized by the UGC. Sri Vedmata Gayatri Trust is taking care of all the expenses of this university.It is self- financed through people #39;s contribution and not by any grant from the State or the Central government or UGC. Dr.Pranav Pandya, the Chancellor of DSVV, takes regular classes on Srimadbhagvadgita and Dhyan. Being a Spiritual Leader, he also guides students in their personal social problems even individually. DSVV offers different kinds of courses. All over DSVV follows the concept of "Shiksha samjho vahi safal,jo karde aachaar vimal". Core models of this university are Spiritual Humanism and Scientific Spirituality.
