RiverWoods CEO Accepts the 2013 Outstanding Women in Business Award
Justine Vogel #39;s Acceptence speech at the 2013 Outstanding Women in Business Awards. Presented by New Hampshire Business Review (NHBR) and Centrix Bank on February 12, 2013. Justine Vogel, President and CEO of RiverWoods Retirement Community in Exeter, NH, has been named one of the state #39;s Outstanding Women in Business by New Hampshire Business Review (NHBR). The award celebrates women who have risen to the heights of their chosen industry and who give back to the communities in which they work. Vogel accepted the award on February 12th at a ceremony presented by NHBR and Centrix Bank. Vogel was one of six 2013 Outstanding Women in Business. Winners are selected not only for their professional accomplishments and outstanding leadership, but also for the examples they set as role models. Vogel says she was inspired by her own mentors and has some advice for young women just starting their careers. "Find what you #39;re passionate about. You can be good at something you like, but if you want to be great, you have to love it -- and find your self-confidence," says Vogel. "When you #39;re confident, you can fight for something you know is right and admit when you #39;re wrong." Justine #39;s professional growth mirrors that of RiverWoods. She joined the organization as Director of Accounting when RiverWoods opened in 1994 and grew into the role of Chief Financial Officer, before being named President and CEO in 2007.
