Panzy Evelyn "Deb" LaFaver, 88 year old Checotah resident, died peacefully, Thursday, November 15, 2012 in Muskogee, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Saturday, January 5, 1924 in Atoka County where she grew up and went to school until the 8th grade. She met, fell in love and married Odis (Red) Moore. They farmed together and she became a homemaker. Upon the death of Red on Thursday, November 3, 1966, she moved her family to Oklahoma City where she went to work for Rey #39;s Nursery, then to Capitol Gardens Nursery, later working for TLC from which she retired in 1991 as a Horticulturalist. She married JR LaFaver and after her retirement they moved to the Pierce area to be near her family. Panzy had a strong faith in her Lord, loving Him with all of heart, soul and mind, always encouraging her family to know Him and tell others about Him. She loved to fish, garden and was a huge Yankee #39;s Baseball fan, and enjoyed watching Nascar, PBR Bull Riding on TV and enjoyed listening to country music. She attended the Brush Hill Baptist Church. Panzy will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Birtie Adams; second husband JR on Monday, November 3, 1997; two brothers, Don Adams and JT Adams; four sisters, Eunice Penick, Ruby Woods-Selerla, Gladys Pearson and Lois (Tigert) Towler.
