Okay, today we are talking about the five things that you need to know about your retirement income planning. These are really important topics, because again, like a lot of stuff, if you mess up just one of them, you could be in a world of hurt. So number 1: You have to plan on living a long time. Now it used to be, I remember when my grandparents retired, when they retired they were both 65 years old, and it was funny. Both my grandfathers died when they were 67. So they retired at 65 and died when they were 67, not a whole lot going on there. They both died from heart problems, which you can imagine has my wife worried about my heart troubles, so we always have that checked out. But in any event, they didn #39;t live very long, and of course my grandmothers, they lived longer and I think they made it into their 80 #39;s or something, pretty typical. The last few years at a nursing home, but people are living longer, we all know that so you need to plan on living a long time.
