British band Spandau Ballet play in a womans living room in a new campaign for SmoothFM aimed at highlighting the stations relaxing music proposition.

The ad by Big Red is set to air from this Sunday on pay-TV and digital channels, shows a woman getting out of the shower and turning on her radio to the station which is playing the song True. When she is dressed and leaving she walks through her living room where the band is playing live.

Tony Thomas, Nova Entertainment chief digital and marketing officer said: SmoothFMs success is due to it playing a unique role in the busy lives of Australians and this TVC, along with the endorsement from such an amazing artist like Spandau Ballet, showcases the brands benefit beautifully. The New Romantics band alsorecently launched the stations experiential live music brand A Night With, and their hit singles regularly feature on smoothfms playlist, making the group a natural choice to front the new campaign.

It is the second in a series that began with Michael Bubls Havent Met You Yet TVC to launch the station in May 2012.

Spandau Ballets latest album The Story The Very Best Of is currently on sale and the band will tour around Australia in May 2015.
