Right from Part 1 here, you will be starting to create a script that will provide you with a structure to create a successful telephone sales call. No-one, if they are honest, wants to do cold calls, so how would it be if we used a technique to turn a cold call into a warm call? In fact I am going to give you 3 ways to start a call today to make it warm to someone you have never spoken to before. 1. Start your call with a referral if you have one like "Hello I #39;m ___ from ___Your colleague, Jo Smith, was really happy with the training we did for him last week and suggested I give you a call." If you don #39;t have a referral you could call all the people who have bought from you in the past to ask them if they are happy with your service and then ask them who else they know that you could help by offering them the same service. You could also blame the receptionist for referring you! 2. Tell the prospect that you noticed something about them eg an article in the newspaper to say they were moving or that you had seen something on their website of note like someone being promoted. 3. If you can #39;t think of anything else, say "I #39;m calling you specially". This makes them feel important. Now I realise that some of you might be saying these suggestions might not work for you, in which case .you need to go straight to Video ...
