Web2Learn Kick Off Meeting, 8-9 Oct 2012, Athens, Greece The most important meeting of the WEB2LEARN project took place in Athens, between 8-9 Oct 2012. 6 partners from 6 different countries met face-to-face for the first time in Athens to discuss their expectations, approaches and next steps for a successful implementation of the project. Currently the web user is also a content creator. Virtual interaction, collaboration and the sharing of knowledge through the web are actual trends that need to be translated to education. Therefore, the WEB2LEARN project aims to familiarize adults (mainly parents but not exclusively) on current web 2.0 Learning tools and practices to stimulate better learning experiences and personal development options both for children and adults. More specifically, the project aims to collect existing good practices on learning methods and web 2.0 tools in general but also on parents #39; education for supporting their children in the participating countries and in Europe, to familiarize parents in the participating countries and especially unemployed ones on web 2.0 jargon and words/ phrases used in web 2.0 children community in the participating countries as well as to establish stronger links/ connections ...
