The Youth Justice Board - Taking the Lead
The Youth Justice Board produced this video about #39;Taking the Lead #39; Dogs Trust Learning Programme Reparation Scheme for Young Offenders -- an education programme which actively engages youths in dog-related projects fostering responsible attitude to other living beings (dogs, people), encouraging positive personal development and providing them with a range of skills and competencies relevant to life. #39;Taking the Lead #39; has been successfully piloted in London and is now expanding to the South East, South West, Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands, East Anglia and West Midlands in 2013. Dogs Trust run a number of education projects across the UK for children and young people - linking responsible dog ownership with key aspects of citizenship-type issues such as respect, responsibility, confidence, empathy, following rules, taking care of others, understanding, self worth etc..
