GOMADIS - Mission Trip Series
People often ask me about going on Mission Trips. Should someone go, where should they go, who should they go with... on and on. I think it is natural for Christians to want to go on a Mission Trip, and I certainly have seen, and continue to see, the benefits of short term mission trips. But I have also seen some damaging effects from well meaning Christians who went on a mission trip in haste. Unfortunately some people really just want a "vacation", or they want to get a "pat on the back" for their sacrifice of traveling to a 3rd world country. Some people, good or bad, simply want self fulfillment... and what they seem to lack here at home, they hope to find out in the mission field. I #39;ll assume your motivations are pure. You feel a call, or an urging to go on a Mission Trip. You #39;ve heard stories and seen pictures from others... and you #39;re wondering if NOW is the time for you to "go" as well. I pray this video series will help answer some questions, create new ones, force you to take a deep look at yourself and your motivations, and ultimately equip you to discern if you are ready to sign up for a short term mission trip.
