Emotional Hijack Part 1 - Why your mind goes blank during tests, exams or public speaking.
http://www.facebook.com - Go here for updates or new info. We #39;ve all had those times when our mind goes blank or we have a mental block - maybe exam nerves, public speaking, tests, fears and phobias or other stressful situations. This can cause loss of confidence and embarrassment. We have an automatic physical (physiological) response, designed to keep us safe, called the Autonomic Nervous System. In times of stress, it diverts all energy to our major muscle groups ready to #39;fight or flight #39;. All body systems that aren #39;t needed immediately, like our digestive system, shut down very quickly. Another effect is that our brains, which use 25% to 30% of our energy (oxygen and glucose), shut down too! Our mind goes blank and we can #39;t think - recognise that? In this video I show you what happens and why - and in Part 2, I will show you in detail exactly how to regain control and think clearly again, often within just one or two seconds. This is amongst the most important things I #39;ve discovered in more than 25 years in the business and personal development fields. Check out Part 1 here and then join me for Part 2. See you there! From:Dave SmithViews:1 0ratingsTime:06:32More inHowto Style
