Posted: at 2:39 am

INDORE: After six deaths, a mysterious disappearance. A 16-year-old inmate of the Indore ashram where six children died last week went missing on Monday while being shifted to another shelter. Police have registered a case of kidnapping, but in 24 hours, there is not a clue to where he might be. The inmate, identified as Anand from Harda district, suffers from a mental disability, heightening the urgency that he is found quickly. Anand was being transferred from Shri Yugpurush Dham Boudhik Vikas Kendra, where six deaths occurred between June 29 and July 2, to Akhand Param Dham on Khandwa Road, a 10km journey, when he mysteriously vanished. According to sources, he was not there during the evening headcount following their arrival at Param Dham. After searching for him for some time, officials of women and child development department informed their seniors and then approached Tejaji Nagar police station. "A case under section 137 (2) of BNS for abduction was registered and our investigation began immediately. After questioning the ashram authority, police found that the boy was last seen during the afternoon roll call around 4pm and went missing after that. We are checking CCTV footage of nearby areas to find him," said additional DCP Alok Sharma. "Today, we are installing CCTVs at prominent locations in the ashram, and fencing off the compound," WCD district programme officer in charge Rakesh Wankhede said, adding that the search for Anand is on. According to sources, a 13-year-old child named Siyaram had also gone missing from Shri Yugpurush Dham Boudhik Vikas Kendra in 2021 and is yet to be found. WCD officials have not confirmed this, though. Eleven children of the ashram were discharged from Chacha Nehru Hospital on Tuesday and were given shelter at Akhand Param Dham. "Seven inmates are still undergoing treatment in hospital," Wankhede said. Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), which has collected 52 water samples from different locations in the wake of the ashram deaths, is expecting the reports on Wednesday.

After Death Of 6 Children, Now Boy From Indore Ashram Goes Missing; Management Alleges Abduction – ETV Bharat

Posted: at 2:39 am

Indore: A 16-year-old boy from an Indore-based ashram, where six children died recently, has gone missing, prompting its management to lodge a complaint claiming that the minor was mentally-weak and was kidnapped by an unidentified person, police said on Wednesday.

Six children lost their lives at the Shri Yugpurush Dham Bal Ashram, operated by an NGO in Malharganj area of Indore within a span of a few days starting June 29. The deaths raised concerns over mismanagement, over-admission and a suspected cholera outbreak at the shelter for special children.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ashish Patel said that after the health of children deteriorated following the outbreak of cholera in Shri Yugpurush Dham Bal Ashram, some children were sent to Akhand Parmanand Ashram located in Khandwa Naka area of the city on July 6 as a precautionary measure.

"An FIR was registered at Tejaji Nagar police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by the management of Shri Yugpurush Dham Bal Ashram that one of the children, Anand (16), was lured by some unidentified miscreant and kidnapped on July 8," he said.

The ACP said the police did not find the boy in the footage dated July 8 captured by CCTV cameras installed in and around the spot. "We are also examining CCTV footage prior to that date," he added. According to the ashram management, the missing boy is mentally-weak and he was sent to Indore by the Child Welfare Committee of Harda in January, Patel said.

"All aspects related to the case of the missing minor boy are being investigated," the officials said. Four children died at the ashram between July 1 and July 2 after suffering from cholera, while one of the children who died at the institute on June 30 was claimed to have died due to brain seizure, officials said.

Another inmate of the ashram died during the intervening night of June 29 and 30, but the ashram management did not inform the administration about the death of the child and his body was handed over to his family members and buried at a local crematorium, he said. The ashram management claimed that the child died of epilepsy, but this could not be confirmed, officials said.

He said the probe by a high-level committee constituted by the administration also revealed overcrowding of children in the ashram, medical records of children not maintained properly and other irregularities in the maintenance of the institution.

Hathras Stampede: Gates Of Bhole Babas Mainpuri Ashram Covered To Block Inside View; Heavy Police Deployed Outside – Jagran English

Posted: at 2:39 am

The gates of Suraj Pals Ramkutir Ashram in UPs Mainpuri have been covered with curtains to maintain secrecy amid the presence of media outside. This has fueled speculations that Suraj Pal alias Narayan Sakar Vishv Hari alias Bhole Baba might be present inside the ashram. On July 2, after the tragic Hathras stampede incident that claimed 121 lives, Bhole Baba reached his Mainpur Ashram. Later speculations were rife that he left the place, however, the servicemen claimed he was there only.

With heavy police deployment outside the Ashram, many believe Bhole Baba was present there. The Ashram has two gates, one for the entry and exit of workers while the other, the golden gate, is exclusively used by Bhole Baba. This gate was covered by curtains from the inside to maintain secrecy and keep Baba away from the eyes of the media.

SO Avnish Tyagi said they were not aware of the reasons to cover the Ashram gates, Jagran.com reported. However, police continue to guard the place amid comprehensive vigil in the area.

As many as 121 people were killed in UPs Hathras last week during a religious event dedicated to preacher Bhole Baba. The incident reportedly occurred as supporters of Bhole Baba hurried to collect mud from the path he had traversed.

On July 6, a case was registered against self-proclaimed godman Bhole Baba. He was not named in the first FIR filed in the case. However, his lawyer claimed some unidentified miscreants sprayed poisonous gas during the event, which led to the stampede. He claimed the group of conspirators fled the venue after triggering the chaos.

In a significant move, after the SIT presented its report in the case, the Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday suspended six officials, including Sikandra Rao Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), and Circle Officer (CO).

Indore: Govt And Administrative Officials Responsible For Deaths Of Inmates In Ashram, Claims Congress MLA Dr – Free Press Journal

Posted: at 2:39 am

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh Congress's investigation committee reached Chacha Nehru Hospital to probe the tragic deaths of six children at the NGO-run Shri Yugpurush Dham Bal Ashrama. This comes amid growing calls from the party for lodging a First Information Report (FIR) against those responsible. Congress MLA Dr Hiralal Alawa has targeted the government, blaming them for the mishap.

This is a clear case of negligence and mismanagement, Dr Alawa said adding, The government is trying to cover up the issue, but we demand accountability and justice for these children. MPCC chief Jitu Patwari has constituted a probe panel led by Dr Hiralal Alawa, Dr Aditya Pandit, Ravi Joshi and Surjit Singh Chaddha while city Congress committee constituted a panel led by Girish Joshi and Vivek Khandelwal.

The investigation revealed that four children had died from cholera between July 1 and 2, another from brain stroke on June 30 and one more on the night of June 29. Shockingly, the ashram management did not report the first death to the authorities, handing over the body to the family for burial while disputing the cause of death, claiming it was due to epilepsy.

The committee found several lapses, including overcrowding beyond the ashrams capacity and failure to maintain proper medical records. The Congress party insists that an FIR should be lodged against shelter home directors and relevant government officials for their role in this tragic incident.

Collector takes call on time sought by ashram

In response to the show cause notice (SCN) issued by the District Administration to the operators of Yugpurush Dham Boudhik Vikas Kendra (a shelter home of mentally-retarded children), the operators of the shelter home have sought time beyond the stipulated period of 3 days. Collector Singh informed media persons here on Monday that a reply of the directors of the shelter home is received by Women and Child Development (WCD) department. In reply, the operators have urged to extend the time of 3 days to 7 days. Collector Singh said that the officials of the department will put their reply before him. Thereafter the decision about granting time or not will be taken. It may be pointed out that in July the news about the death of 5 children of the home came to light. Thereafter, the administration issued a SCN to the operators of the shelter home.

Cholera outbreak in city-Tap water found unsafe in many areas

Seven of 18 samples fail in testing, public health lab fails to test cholera causing bacteria

Amid ongoing cholera outbreak, most of the tap water samples across the city were found unsatisfactory and unsafe. Health department records show that out of 18 samples collected from different areas of the city including Mhow, Chitawad and Rau, seven of them were found unsafe for drinking.

Various bacterial growth were found in the water sample including E.coli and others. Culture test of samples was done but the machine of Public Health Laboratory at Government PC Sethi Hospital could not test the presence of vibrio cholerae. The machine is not advanced to find the presence of cholera causing bacteria in the water samples, a department source said.

Meanwhile, the health department has already cautioned people from drinking tap water without filtering and asked them to use it only after boiling. Many samples are under testing and their report will be received soon. Administration has been alerting people for the same while more sampling is undergoing, officials said. The district administration officials have launched a campaign for collecting and testing water samples across the city after the cholera outbreak from Bal Ashram of Yugpurushdham NGO. As many as five kids died in the ashram while 85 had fallen ill.

8 inmates still under treatment

According to Superintendent of Chacha Nehru Hospital Dr Preeti Malpani, as many as eight inmates are undergoing treatment in the hospital while the rest were discharged. As many as eleven inmates were discharged on Monday.

The trading volume has seen a dip of 28%, indicating reduced trading activity. According to CoinMarketCap data, the current market capitalization stands at approximately $2.6 billion, positioning Render as the 31st largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

Render price

Currently, The AI-based altcoin oscillates between $6.3 and $6.7 as market forces vie for dominance, though recent trends favor the bears.

The leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has endorsed the transformation and rebranding of the Render token, previously known as RNDR. As part of this endorsement, Binance announced the removal of existing RNDR trading pairs, including pairs like RNDR/BTC and RNDR/USDT.

This action is set for July 22, 2024, at 06:00. Binance will also cancel any open orders involving RNDR. Following the delisting, Binance plans to introduce new trading pairs under the RENDER ticker.

The bearish momentum has continued to impact the Render price, potentially driving its value down below the $6.50 support zone. Increasing pressure from sellers might further reduce its price to around $6.30, underscoring a negative outlook. If the downward trend persists, RNDR could see a drop to a low of $6.20, indicative of a significant market retreat.

On the flip side, if bullish traders regain control, Render price could climb past the $6.60 resistance level. Breaking past this barrier might boost the tokens value to $7. A sustained positive trend could push its price toward $10, signaling a robust upturn in investor confidence.

The Bollinger Bands on the 4-hour price chart for Render show a narrow trading range, suggesting low volatility in recent sessions. The upper Bollinger Band hovers around $6.69, while the lower band is at $6.47. This tight channel indicates that RNDR has been trading within a constrained price range.

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) shows a convergence of the MACD line and the signal line, suggesting that the market might be gearing towards a bullish.

Binance CEO Shares Developments In Post-CZ Era and Crypto Outlook – CoinGape

Posted: at 2:39 am

Speaking at a podcast named Making Markets today, July 13, Binance CEO Richard Teng shared vital insights on crypto developments post-CZ (Changpeng Zhao) era. The former Abu Dhabi regulator talked about crypto adoption and regulation, global adoption trends, and many other things.

Heres a brief report on the podcast that appears to have promptly gained significant traction across the industry.

Speaking with Eric Golden, the host of Making Markets, Teng shared insights on Binances journey from a startup to an industry behemoth. Further, Teng highlighted how 2024 came as a landmark year for the crypto industry. This statement is primarily attributable to the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs and many more digital asset-based ETFs in the pipeline despite regulatory scrutiny. Aligning with this, the former Abu Dhabi regulator appears to be highly bullish on the crypto industrys future and its global consideration as a prominent asset class.

Meanwhile, the CEO also talked about how Binance recently encountered regulatory challenges in the U.S. in its money laundering saga. ChangPeng Zhao, the former face of the crypto exchange, took regulatory heat that caused his downfall. However, Teng stressed that as an exchange, it only grew and learned from the past.

Further, gauging in on its colossal user base, the CEO proclaimed that the global trust does not come overnight, but instead is a result of constant actions taken by the firm to streamline user experience. On the other hand, zeroing in on one of the hottest topics around the CEX

, the arrest of Tigran Gambaryan, Teng assured that the firm is doing everything in its power to bring the detained executive back to his home.

Notably, regulatory challenges have become quite a hurdle in todays crypto landscape. Each nation, aiming for the betterment of its citizens, has rolled out various regulations. However, Teng stated that Binance allows those regulations and adheres to them, shadowing the motive of offering users a protected and safe experience with digital asset investments.

Moreover, when asked about the effect of ETF approval on exchanges operations, particularly the cannibalization of market participants magnetized towards ETFs, Teng stated that the cannibalization effect remains minimal. Spotlighting cryptos 247 nature, Teng thinks that although ETFs serve as a great opportunity, traditional investment products have limitations.

Richard Teng concludes by saying that the crypto exchange has well-established relations with regulators across the globe, but it continues to stay nimble and is looking for opportunities to grow.

US lawmakers claim Binance exec arrested in Nigeria is a hostage – ReadWrite

Posted: at 2:39 am

Representatives Rich McCormick and French Hill have introduced a resolution to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, calling on the United States government to classify the detention of leading crypto exchange Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan in Nigeria as a hostage situation.

The resolution, officially submitted on Wednesday by McCormick and co-sponsored by Hill, demands the immediate release of Gambaryan, a U.S. citizen. It highlights concerns about Gambaryans declining health in Kuje Prison and urges the U.S. government to declare him as wrongfully detained by a foreign government.

The congressmen warn that if Gambaryans case isnt resolved by mid-July, his detention could be prolonged due to the courts typical recess until September.

Gambaryan, Binances head of financial crime compliance and a former IRS agent, was detained in Nigeria in February along with colleague Nadeem Anjarwalla. They face money laundering charges, though tax-related accusations have been dropped. Anjarwalla escaped custody in March.

The resolution emphasizes Gambaryans decade-long service with the IRS, during which he helped seize over $4 billion in illicit funds for the U.S. government. Rep. Hill, who visited Gambaryan in prison last month, expressed concern about the executives status:

After visiting recently with Tigran at Kuje Prison in Nigeria, I noted that his health is deteriorating. I am proud to join my friend and Mr. Gambaryans Congressman, Rep. Rich McCormick, in leading this resolution and sending a signal to the Nigerian government that he must be immediately granted a release, the remaining charges dropped, and return home to America where he belongs.

Both Hill and McCormick view the detention as a violation of Gambaryans rights and a serious injustice. McCormick said:

The continued detention of Tigran Gambaryan in Nigeria is a clear violation of his rights and a grave injustice. We urge the Nigerian government to immediately release him and provide him with the necessary medical care and due process rights. The United States Government must do everything in its power to secure the release of one of our citizens wrongfully detained abroad.

This resolution follows a June letter signed by 16 members of Congress, urging the White House to address Gambaryans imprisonment urgently, stressing the need for swift action to ensure his safety and preservation of life.
