12-03-2012 21:59 In this video I discuss the topic of formative assessment or as I now refer to it as, "formative evaluation." I am a Ph.D. candidate with Michigan State University in the field of educational psychology. There are many flavors of formative evaluation and I am using the one outlined by Paul Black and Dylan Wiliam in the article "Inside the Black Box." Much of what I say here comes from them. I am also currently doing research for the Dallas County Community College District to test the results of formative evaluation in online mathematics classes.
