NEW DELHI: The ministry of external affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on Friday expressed positivity towards the Taliban administration's decision to restore property rights to Hindus and Sikhs in Afghanistan. He also raised India's concerns about the Israeli attack on the attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria which killed at least 13 people including 7 Iranian military officials and 6 Syrian nationals. "We have noted with concern the attack on Iranian diplomatic premises in Syria on 1st April 2024. India is distressed at the escalating tensions in West Asia, and their potential to fuel further violence and instability," Randhir Jaiswal said at a press conference. "If the Taliban administration has decided to restore property rights to Hindus and Sikhs from Afghanistan, it is something which is a positive development," he added.
