University hosts health and fitness expo this weekend in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- A journey to better health may begin Saturday as BryanUniversity is offering Ozarkers a chance to learn about fitness at the Springfield Health & Fitness Expo. It will be from 10:00 am 2:00 pm at the college's main campus at 4255 Nature Center Way. The event is free of charge.

Bryan University says the expo will bring together community leaders in health, fitness, and general wellness. Personal trainers, supplement retailers, fitness equipment providers, and specialty athletic groups will join whole foods experts, chiropractors, yoga studios, and more to provide advice and information to the public. Participating vendors include YMCA, Mercy Fitness, Ozark Fitness, MaMa Jeans, Bodyweight USA, Fitness 19, Meek Chiropractic, and many more.Mama Jeans will be onsite to do cooking demonstrations and health and fitness students fromBryanUniversity will offer customized counseling.

We know the obesity crisis is one of the biggest problems facing our nation.BryanUniversity offers Health and Fitness certification courses and we want to use our talents to help those who are struggling right here in our community says Scott Haar, Executive Director at the BU Springfield Campus.
