The McCormick Mile - LIS Tradition JoAnne McCormick was the beloved nurse and health education teacher at the Litchfield Intermediate School. She was also an active member of the #39;Village Striders #39; running group along with her husband Brian. She was a picture of health and fitness encouraging children to eat healthy foods and exercise. She was the ultimate role model having completed several marathons herself until she was unexpectedly struck by pancreatic cancer.
