LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Saturday, FOX 16 anchor Donna Terrell hosted an event, she called Yoga Warriors, to raise awareness for colon cancer.

"I am overjoyed," said Terrell.

The event aims to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Donna's daughter, Queah, died from complications of colon cancer in 2011.

Since then, Donna has been on a mission to let others know about the importance of staying healthy and getting second opinions, if you feel like something is now right.

"My daughter knew something was wrong, I knew something was wrong, but the doctor said 'You're fine". We wanted to believe that so badly, when all along that cancer was growing inside of her," said Terrell.

Yoga was something Queah enjoyed doing before she died.

"When you are taking all these medications, you're dealing with a life threatening illness, when you find something that makes you feel good, it's so important," said Terrell.

Breezy Osborne led the class.

"Most people are intimidated by yoga when they see pictures of a foot behind the head or something that looks like a pretzel, but I have to remind people, you have to start somewhere," said Osborne.
