The new model, which is fully loaded with Windows 8, blends the best features of various portable devices and is also an upgrade of the company's Yoga 11.

The 360-degree convertible hinge design allows the device to be used in four modes - notebook, tablet, tent and stand.

The ultrabook, measuring 297.18 millimeters by 203.2mm by 15.49mm, weighs 1.35 kilograms. Running on a 1.4GHz Intel Core i3 processor with 4GB of RAM in its basic setting, the device is quite stable even with extensive multitasking.

However, there is an option to upgrade to either an i5 or i7 chip, as well as add 8GB of memory for even better performance.

In terms of storage, the ultrabook comes in a choice of either 128GB or 256GB solid state drive.

It fits snugly in the hand in tablet mode but is a bit heavier than the typical tablet.

The IdeaPad Yoga 11s has an 11.6-inch HD LED (1366 x 768) display. The touchscreen uses five-point capacitive multitouch technology to enhance responsiveness.

The device also has a 720p HD webcam - with one megapixel resolution - for video conferencing. It comes with a four-cell lithium polymer battery which has energy management software to maximize battery life and offers about six hours of continuous use.
