Its not size that matters. Its all about movement.

Cora Clearwater, 63, has started a yoga program geared to plus-sized participants.

As an alternative to working out in a gym, where she felt uncomfortable, Ms Clearwater turned to yoga to stay active.

I hated going to the gym because it was full of small people, she said. If there were bigger people, they were always in the back. People dont want to see fat people exercise.

She began doing yoga in her home and became a certified Kripalu yoga instructor.

She is now teaching classes through her company, Reubenesque Yoga, designed for round-bodied, plus-sized individuals.

Large people still want to exercise, but avoid doing so in public out of fear of being judged, the former nurse and psychotherapist said.

Our society is geared toward small people. Its not easy living in a society that worships diets and diet products as a god, she said.

My classes are geared to large people. Here, there are no qualms about trying because there are no small people to judge you.
