There's actually something called "fizzy yoga," and Kim Cattrall says it saved her life.

"Fizzy yoga" sounds like something that involves carbonated beverages and stretching, but it's actually physiotherapy that uses yoga poses, breathing and meditation.

Kim Cattrall, who played the sexually hyperactive Samantha on "Sex and the City," credits the new "craze" with keeping her fit as she ages.

"As I get older, I find that cardio is less important to me," the 57-year-old actress said in a recent interview with the Times of London. "What I want to do more of is intense stretching. I'm not worried about injuring myself because a regular yoga instructor isn't versed in the way of the body like a trained physio [instructor] is."

Cattrall believes her London-based teacher "saved her life" during her run of performances in Tennessee Williams' "Sweet Birth of Youth" over the summer. She said fizzy yoga helped ease her chronic knee pain and helped her onstage.

"I think Helen's really got her finger on something that women my age can use to make our lives pain-free," Cattrall said.
