BARCELONAI only had 30 minutes with Lenovos Yoga Tablet 10 HD+, announced just before the start of this weeks Mobile World Congress. It was enough to make this longtime Windows user think Android thoughts.

It wasnt just the design, although thats one of the tablets main selling points. With a brushed-metal, silvery, or champagne-gold finish, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad 1.6GHz processor, the latest Yoga Tablet is a significant step up from its pokey and plasticky Yoga Tablet 8 cousin, reviewed late last year.

The new Yoga Tablet has the same neato kickstand that lets you prop the tablet in portrait mode at a fairly steep angle, or in landscape mode at a lower angle. Although the kickstand is a bit difficult to pry away from the main body, its nonetheless a subtle and useful design element that gives you more choices for how to use your tablet around the house. The battery cylinder continues to pull double-duty as a comfy handle, as well as a power source.

But Im all about the visuals, and what I love most about this tablet is the 10.1-inch HD display, with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. When so many tablets and even low-end notebooks seem stuck at 1366 by 768 pixels, this nicer quality helps the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ shine.

I kept wanting to attach the optional keyboard ($59) to the tablet, but its completely wireless and also functions as a tablet cover that slides on and off easily.

As my colleague Florence Ion noted after her hands-on time with the tablet, Lenovo took a cool design and executed it much better with the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+. Due to ship in May 2014 for a price of $349, it could be just the stylish, clever product to lure people away from less remarkable competitors, and possibly evendare I suggest itan iPad user or two.
