S.F. teens excercise voting right

Ryan Kieffer recently turned 18 and last Wednesday he wanted to exercise one of his rights as an American citizen. So he went to the polls to vote.

It took the Academy of Technology and the Classics senior less than five minutes to cast his ballot for a school board member, a governing board member for Santa Fe Community College and to support the school districts HB33, which renews a 1.5-mill property tax that provides about $9 million a year to maintain school facilities and costs the typical homeowner about $150 a year.
