62ND CST evaluated by Army North
LAFAYETTE, LA.- On December 5th, 2012, the Louisiana National Guard #39;s 62nd Civil Service Team and local agencies met at Cajun Field in Lafayette and were evaluated on thier respone to various hazardous scenarios. Major Cameron Magee, Commander of the 62nd CST, commented on the evaluation. "This is an excercise that occurs every 18 months for the Civil Support Team, where Army North sends down a team to evaluate our actions, and we end up certified or not certified for the next 18 months." The 62nd CST also stands ready to provide 24-hour WMD support for presidential visits, the SuperBowl, and other large scale events.
