CHAMPAIGN Donovonn Young isnt worrying about Saturday. Not yet.
Nor is he fretting about how he ran last Saturday.
The Illinois running back is sticking to the mantra he developed this offseason. And hes continuing his reading habits.
The current paperback hes lugging around these days The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle harps on the same message he conveyed during spring practices: Focusing on bettering himself. Helping out his teammates however he can. Staying in the present.
I talked about it in my senior speech (to the team) to just cherish the moment and controlling what you can control, Young said. Thats how Im trying to approach the rest of this season.
