So here you are, a restless soul, still searching for the meaning of life, still searching for Loves fulfilment, still feeling alone, still hiding behind a mask, but I see you and what I see is more precious than you have dared to consider.

So here we are, brought together by Love and Truth, so that we may share in their gifts.

I will share freely the things that were given to me, and together we will fill that empty space within you.

I will tell you of things that no-one else in this world canor dare tell you, and you will know that I am a true teacher and healer of souls. I will give you back what was taken from you and make you your own master, for a loving soul seeks no power over others.

We all have only one judge and that is Love, from which all Truth comes.

It is not who you were or what you have done in the past that matters, rather it is who you are now and what you will become that is important.

You will never cease to exist, may your future be lived in peace and harmony, and with Love and Truth.

I will make all things new, and you will know that you are loved and on the true path to your Spiritual Evolution.

Love and peace,

William

Celebrating 5 years today as an ex-smoker.

Looking to quit? Tell yourself it will be easy instead of hard because your mind believes what you tell it. I wholeheartedly believe this because for me it was easy. I quit cold turkey and never experienced any cravings or withdrawals. Notable factors surrounding my quitting included drinking a ton of water and sweating profusely the few days prior which likely helped with withdrawal of the toxins from my system. I also really wanted to quit and towards the end, was choosing to be very conscious of every action- from the horrible taste, to the way it burned my throat on each inhale.

My habit was to light up each morning when I woke. That morning, August 2nd 2010, I took out a cigarette and looked at it and said to myself, "I could light this, or I could go for a walk." I chose to go for a walk. When I returned, I said, "I could smoke this now, or I could just be done with it." And that was that.

Changing a habit means changing your behavior. What if you make yourself get up at 3:00am to smoke? Would you like it as much? What if you made yourself walk backwards around the block every time you lit up? This might sound silly, but just see what happens when you shift the habits surrounding your habits.

Can I tell you about the elephant that used to live on my chest? Within just a few weeks of quitting, I noticed how much easier if was to walk up a big hill by my house. I said that it felt like there used to be an elephant sitting on my chest that had finally got up and left.

It is sometimes common to gain weight when people quit smoking. My weight was stable for a year after I quit. I began to gain weight after a year and then within a year and a half after that, was at my heaviest. I know that I was stress eating a very poor diet and quite sedentary. Being peri-menopausal for an eternity probably wasn't helping.

In October of 2012 I began taking a few yoga classes here and there. In June of 2013 I cut almost all refined sugar and refined flour from my diet and began to focus on eating more fruits, veg, and whole grains. In 2014 I set a goal to do yoga once a week. I finished the year having done it between 1-3 times a week. In 2015 I set a goal of twice a week, and with yoga teacher training, have surpassed that.

The last time I was on a scale, I was down roughly 35 pounds from my heaviest. It could be a little more than that right now. I've gone from barely fitting in 2XL clothes to L and XL. The inches lost through yoga have been quite dramatic.

I can honestly say that at 44 and at my heaviest, I had literally and completely given up. I would look in the mirror at my naked body and think to myself, "I guess this is just going to be how it is forever." I moved like an old person. Lacking body awareness, when walking, my foot didn't always go where my mind wanted me to place it.

One of the key factors in deciding to try yoga was seeing a 71 year old woman yogi move like a 40 year old. I thought to myself, "There must be something to it if she can still move with such ease." Thankfully, I was right.

Spiritualism – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Spiritualism is a belief that spirits of the dead have both the ability and the inclination to communicate with the living. The afterlife, or "spirit world", is seen by Spiritualists, not as a static place, but as one in which spirits continue to evolve. These two beliefs: that contact with spirits is possible, and that spirits are more advanced than humans, leads Spiritualists to a third belief, that spirits are capable of providing useful knowledge about moral and ethical issues, as well as about the nature of God. Thus, many Spiritualists will speak of their spirit guides specific spirits, often contacted, who are relied upon for spiritual guidance.[1][2]Spiritism, a branch of Spiritualism developed by Allan Kardec and today found mostly in Continental Europe and Latin America, especially Brazil, has emphasised reincarnation.

Spiritualism developed and reached its peak growth in membership from the 1840s to the 1920s, especially in English-speaking countries.[2][3] By 1897, Spiritualism was said to have more than eight million followers in the United States and Europe,[4] mostly drawn from the middle and upper classes.

The religion flourished for a half century without canonical texts or formal organization, attaining cohesion through periodicals, tours by trance lecturers, camp meetings, and the missionary activities of accomplished mediums. Many prominent Spiritualists were women, and like most Spiritualists, supported causes such as the abolition of slavery and women's suffrage.[2] By the late 1880s the credibility of the informal movement had weakened due to accusations of fraud perpetrated by mediums, and formal Spiritualist organizations began to appear.[2] Spiritualism is currently practiced primarily through various denominational Spiritualist churches in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Although various Spiritualist traditions have their own beliefs, known as Principles, there are some shared concepts:[citation needed]

Spiritualists believe in communicating with the spirits of discarnate humans. They believe that spirit mediums are humans gifted to do this, often through sances. Anyone may become a medium through study and practice. They believe that spirits are capable of growth and perfection, progressing through higher spheres or planes. The afterlife is not a static place, but one in which spirits evolve. The two beliefsthat contact with spirits is possible, and that spirits may lie on a higher planelead to a third belief, that spirits can provide knowledge about moral and ethical issues, as well as about God and the afterlife. Thus many members speak of spirit guidesspecific spirits, often contacted, relied upon for worldly and spiritual guidance.[1][2]

Anyone may receive spirit messages, but formal communication sessions (sances) are held by "mediums," who can then provide information about the afterlife.[1]

As Spiritualism emerged in a Protestant Christian environment, it acquired features in common with Protestantism, ranging from its moral system to practices such as Sunday services and the singing of hymns. Nevertheless, on significant points Christian Protestantism and Spiritualism are different. Spiritualists do not believe that the works or faith of a mortal during a brief lifetime can serve as a basis for assigning a soul to an eternity of Heaven or Hell; they view the afterlife as containing hierarchical "spheres," through which each spirit can progress. Spiritualists differ from Protestant Christians in that the Judeo-Christian Bible is not the primary source from which they derive knowledge of God and the afterlife: for them, their personal contacts with spirits provide that.[1][2]

Most dramatically, Christianity, following the Council of Nicaea and the teachings of Paul ("And though worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God" - Job 19:26), has traditionally asserted that there will be a bodily resurrection of the dead, and a physical, not merely spiritual, afterlife. This view is self-evidently incompatible with Spiritualism, where the merely spiritual existence is superior to the embodied one.[citation needed]

There are quite a number of Spiritualist churches which are explicitly Christian in theology, forms of worship and praise, and liturgical orientation. Among these Christian Spiritualist groups are the historically African American denominations collectively known as the Spiritual Church Movement, a group which includes multi-church organizations such as the Metropolitan Spiritual Churches of Christ,[5] and Pentecostal Spiritual Assemblies of Christ International.[6]

It is held by some adherents of the Jewish religion that Spiritualism is strictly forbidden by the Bible (Old Testament). In Leviticus, one of the books concerning God's laws to Moses, it is written that God says: "I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people." (Leviticus 20:6).[citation needed]

With Plant Medicine Pioneer David Crow, L.Ac.

New 6-Month Live Training Starts Tuesday, July 14, 2015

In the modern West, weve been raised to think of plants in a mechanistic way, at best nourishment for our bodies or beauty for our gardens.

But the truth is that our lives completely depend on plants just to survive and they hold many master keys to a life in which we truly thrive.

They can help us heal disease, clear our minds, cleanse toxins and open to higher consciousness. They can rebalance our emotions, release our addictions and expand our vision.

If we relate to plants with curiosity, humility and reverence, they can teach us a great deal about ourselves, sacred living and our connection to each other.

This is likely not news to you. You have probably long suspected there is much more to understand about plants, evolution and your relationship with the natural world.

You may be fascinated by systems of natural medicine like Ayurveda, Chinese wisdom and working with herbs.

You may be curious about how essential oils, flowers and herbs affect your moods and shift your consciousness.

The challenge you face, though, is that opening the portal to a truly new-paradigm relationship with plants can take a lifetime of study in many disciplines from botany to medicine to different spiritual practices.

spiritual warfare – Youth Apologetics Training

As we have been working our way through the series on the New Apostolic Reformation, the topic of Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare has come up several times. What is Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare?

Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare (SLSW) is a host of various tactics used by the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) to win areas and peoples to the Lord all the while taking dominion. If you want to learn more about Dominionism click here. It is believed that demons rule different areas or territories. These demons are believed to hinder Gods ability to act in these territories. Another way that God is supposedly hindered is if an area has specific corporate sins that need to be repented of. Methods used by the Nar to remove these hindrances are referred to as Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare. The following are some of the ways that the NAR/Word of Faith movements conduct Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare.

Binding territorial demons is one of the most popular SLSW strategies. This is believed to be achieved in several different ways. Often times an apostle or prophet will claim that god has revealed a particular demon over an area that must be bound. This apostle or prophet will often give this demon a name or characterize it as a demon of (name the sin). He or she will then elaborate on Gods battle plan for binding the demon. These battle plans can include fasting, praying, massive prayer vigils, prayer walking, warfare prayer, pouring anointing oil in specific spots, blowing shofars and proclaiming the demons be bound in Jesus name.

In 2011 Cindy Jacobs and John Benefiel claimed that God had revealed that DC was being controlled by a demon named Columbia, so they organized NAR believers across America to remove Columbias influence. This move was known as DC40. Prayer and fasting was directed towards the removal of this perceived demonic threat. To the NARs defense, I will add that there are pagans who believe a goddess named Columbia rules in America. Whatever the case, their efforts proved to be fruitless. Nothing improved. Our nation is continuing to go downhill morally.

Some questions for NAR adherents: Are we as believers supposed to be engaged in these types of activities? Is Christ glorified when we participate in these endeavors? Does this have anything to do with the great commission? Does Gods word command us to bind territorial demons for the purposes of taking dominion?

I personally have taken part in activities like this in the past, when I was part of the hyper-charismatic/Word of Faith crowd. I always felt like we were doing battle against imaginary monsters. A prophet would claim that there was a demon of such and such that we must engage. We would then come up with a plan from the Lord to take this demon down. Once we followed the formula that God had supposedly given us, we would see no real change. Things would continue on as they were. After all the embarrassing goofy things we did to fight the demon nothing changed! We did exactly what the prophet had said. If God had really ordered this whole escapade, dont you think we would see real results? The God we see in the Bible doesnt make mistakes and He doesnt mess around. When God told prophets to perform certain often strange prophetic acts, such as marching around Jericho and blowing shofars, real results would follow. No one doubted whether the wall fell or not. When Gods people followed what God had told them to do, amazing tangible miracles would take place. When these false prophets claim God told them to take action in a specific way, and the people follow the specific orders, nothing happens. Its a farce. The people have been duped yet again.

C. Peter Wagner, the most authoritative voice amongst the New Apostolic Reformation movement recognized this problem.

Since 1990, as I have explained, city transformation has been high on our priority lists. That, as I write this, was 15 years ago. Our best top-level Christian leadership has been involved with this in city after city across America. God has been providing incredible new tools for getting the job donetools such as identificational repentance; spiritual mapping; strategic prophetic prayer; massive all-night, stadium prayer events; strategic-level spiritual warfare; prayer journeys; pastoral unity; and the concept of the church of the city. In addition, Bill Bright, Elmer Towns and others made fasting popular, and I would guess that somewhere around half of American evangelical pastors have now experienced 40-day fasts. However, we cannot point to a single city in America that has been transformed in all of those 15 years! C. Peter Wagner

C. Peter Wagner said this in 2005. We still dont see any miraculous changes coming from this nonsense! Why arent the abortion clinics in these towns shutting down? Why arent the strip clubs closing? Why dont we see some real results? If God was orchestrating these battles, wouldnt you expect some real obvious tangible shocking results? Quite simply, God is not in this stuff. He is not speaking to these false prophets and apostles. Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare as presented by the New Apostolic Reformation is joke. Friends, its time to repent and leave these false prophets. Lets turn our hearts back to the Lord.

Integral Parenting :: Parenting as a Spiritual Practice

Experience the full potential of parenthood: a transformative vessel for evolving yourself, your child, and the future. A community learning experience facilitated by Miriam Mason Martineau October 12 December 7, 2015

In the hardest moments of being a new parent, and in the gentle arc of expansion, I found again and again, gems of wisdom that would surface in the perfect moment. This course was priceless! Adrian W. (father of two)

Parenting can be a most powerful vehicle for spiritual growth, compassion-in-action, and evolutionary activism.

Yet people on a personal development path often feel their practice must be put on hold when they take on the full-time job of parenting. How can changing diapers become your new meditation, or playing with legos your most advanced yoga?

And many parents are awestruck by the responsibility of raising a child. They are overwhelmed by vastly different schools of parenting wisdom, struggling to forge a path that honors themselves and nurtures their children. How can we hold the truths of such varied perspectives to raise our children with the most consciousness, love, and creativity we can muster? How can we raise the bar for ourselves as parents while forgiving our very human limitations?

Miriam Mason Martineau has spent 20 years asking such questions: as a researcher, integral practitioner, and mother. She has found the practice of parenting undergoes a radical shift when placed in a new context: an integral, evolutionary perspective. Parent, child, and the relationship between them are all invited to stretch the limits of their human potential all while honoring the ever-present, already-whole perfection of the spiritual realm.

Join us for this transformative, 8-week online course! Together we will explore this new frontier in the parenting adventure. From meta-perspectives to daily practices, well discover just how powerful this integral-evolutionary context can be in creating the fullest, richest, most loving parenting practice. Raise the bar for how you show up as a parent, and provide your child with the very best foundation for being a loving, creative, conscious being while discovering an unshakeable ease amidst the inevitable ups, downs, and doubts of parenting.

Experience the full range of yourself and your child in the vessel of parenthood: immanent and transcendent, becoming and simply being, fundamentally connected and undeniably individual.

Money And The Evolution Of The Spiritual Path | Empowered Soul

Once upon a time, if you were born as a peasant farmer, odds were that you stayed a peasant farmer for the rest of your life. If you were a tradesman, you stayed a tradesman. And if you were a woman well, you didnt even get to choose a trade. In other words, our choices were incredibly limited.

Today, on the other hand, we have the opportunity to reinvent ourselves as many times as we want. We can radically change our profession, we can dramatically increase our income, we can start businesses, we can get married, get divorced, or not even bother with the traditional conventions of relationships and family. In other words, the choices available to us are practically limitless.

The evolution of much of todays society towards an abundance of choice is mirrored by our evolution towards higher consciousness. The two go hand in hand.

As society has shifted dramatically to allow for incredible new availability of choice, so has our ability to access information about our creative process through choice and consequence. Which came first the societal shift or the accessing of higher consciousness? Most likely, new consciousness triggered social change, which triggered new shifts in consciousness, which triggered more social change, and so on.

So here we are. In much of the Western world, we can do pretty much ANYTHING we want with our lives. Thanks to the Internet, we can study anything, develop any skills we want, generate income from our couch, and find people all over the world who share our perspectives. For women even more than men, the availability of choice has changed dramatically.

BUT many of us who are dedicated to our spiritual path and personal evolution have never been in this much struggle. In spite of all this availability of choice and consciousness, I get emails every day from highly awakened and gifted Souls who are struggling financially, and feeling stuck in their third-dimensional lives.

Heres why:

Were trying to walk two very different and ultimately opposing spiritual paths.

Imagine you are a spiritual teacher, hundreds of years ago, trying to serve as many people as possible in making their lives better and happier.

What would you tell the peasant farmer, the tradesman, the scholar? Their professions, relationships, and economic circumstances were not going to change much. Major life transformations were just not available to most people.
