The Science of Spirituality is a ground-breaking book that integrates the individual systems of science, psychology, philosophy, spirituality and religion into a unified system that describes the multi-dimensional nature of man and the universe. It provides a more comprehensive description of reality than conventional science can offer and fully explains the mechanisms behind an array of paranormal phenomena that mainstream science chooses to ignore. It explains the science behind religious, spiritual and new-age belief systems, and sheds light on some common misconceptions.

Einstein said: "Religion without science is blind, science without religion is lame", because they are two sides of the same coin. Recent scientific discoveries have unknowingly provided evidence that supports the multi-dimensional nature of reality that Hindus, Buddhists, Gnostics and Kabbalists have known about for thousands of years. By combining modern scientific facts with ancient spiritual knowledge we can begin to uncover the whole truth and bring unity out of the existing duality. There can be only one true reality, but we will never know the whole truth if we only look from one perspective and hold on to our preconceived ideas.

Papal audience

Many people call many experiences humbling, but Bob Clausen says theres simply no other way to describe meeting the Pope.

Long-time Marco Islander Clausen had the honor during a recent trip to Italy with his brother Bill, a lifelong Rockford, Ill. priest who invited him along to a health care conference at the Vatican in Rome.

I had never been to Italy before, said Clausen, who indeed lived all over Central America and the Caribbean selling Marco Island for the Deltona Company in the early days of the islands development. So rather than only a conference, it was also a pilgrimage.

On top of that, the journey was bittersweet for Clausen because his brother suffers from Alzheimers, and needs help getting around in his wheelchair.

It was the closest Ive been to my brother for any time in 40 years, said Clausen, a family man with two adult children, Ian and Catherine, and a Scottish-born wife, Rosina.

He was good to work with. The disease is so debilitating. But, we had a lot of laughs together. Hes still got his good humor.

The healthcare conference was less scientific than spiritual, Clausen said, and fitted with his brothers ongoing calling of helping people with addictions back home. Hes so far attended two dozen of the conferences.

The brothers spent three days in Florence before heading for Rome and the Vatican. Coincidentally, Clausen said, the conference was on neuro degenerative diseases.

Bill knew everybody, Clausen said. In the past, he had been a presenter and a participant. One year, Mother Theresa was in the audience, and she came up to him afterward to tell him how much she enjoyed his talk.

The meeting with the Pope came on the last day of the conference.

Who We Are

Eternea's goal is to help create a better future for Earth and its inhabitants by promoting an understanding of seven postulates concerning the nature of reality, predicated on evidence from contemporary research in science and medicine . This research suggests that some core aspect of consciousness exists beyond the brain, survives bodily death and continues eternally.

Eternea sponsors research and education about Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs) and Non-Local Consciousness (NLC). In order to improve the quality of life, Eternea undertakes practical projects in social action and community outreach as well as convergence initiatives to foster cooperation between science and spirituality. Eternea also offers tools and resources to facilitate a direct interactive experiential connection with STEs and NLC through various induction techniques and strategies . In addition, Eternea provides free comprehensive internet resources and tools for the general public and the scientific community, as well as offering additional resources for our members.

Lee Bladon

The Science of Spirituality systematically describes the mechanisms behind a diverse range of subject matter including: esoterics, consciousness, sleep and dreams, reincarnation, religion, creation, evolution, space and time, higher dimensions, heaven and hell, ghosts, angels and demons, out of body experiences, near death experiences, clairvoyance, psychic abilities, personal development, meditation and the meaning of life.

With science and religion we have two seemingly opposed views of how life, the universe and everything began:

Not only do they both seem pretty unbelievable, they appear to share no common ground. However, recent scientific discoveries have unknowingly provided evidence that supports the multi-dimensional nature of reality that Hindus, Buddhists and Kabbalists have known about for thousands of years:

By combining modern scientific facts with ancient spiritual knowledge we begin to uncover the whole truth and bring unity out of the existing duality. There can be only one true reality, but we will never discover the whole truth if we hold on to our preconceived ideas and only look from one perspective. Einstein said: "Religion without science is blind, science without religion is lame", because they are two sides of the same coin.

Science and spirituality both agree that we live in a multi-dimensional universe, and paranormal phenomena suggest that life exists in these other dimensions. Human beings may be at the top of the evolutionary ladder in our 3-dimensional physical world but a hierarchy of increasingly advanced beings live in dimensions that exist just beyond our normal range of perception. These higher-dimensional beings are omniscient and omnipotent in our physical world, which is how our concept of god originated.

A handful of these highly advanced beings periodically incarnate to teach the most advanced members of humanity about the true nature of reality. The great masters such as Krishna, Buddha and Christ (and others who kept lower profiles) are the originators of esoteric knowledge the one true science and the one true religion. The information was shrouded in mystery and symbolism to prevent the uninitiated from fully understanding it in the event that it became public knowledge.

‘Softer, subjective issues get less attention in B-schools’

Posted: at 12:46 pm

M. L. Shrikant, Dean, S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, is keen that student-managers understand and manage themselves before they can manage others.

He has designed an innovative course that teaches the significance of the spirituality quotient in management. In this interview, he discusses the challenges facing management education.

How do you view the current state of management education in B-schools in India and across the globe?

Management education is too standardised and is following the norms of US society. This is inappropriate given the heterogeneity of business situations and contexts and the emerging environmental trends that question the very basis of business operations. B-schools became and have remained overly scientific, with softer, subjective issues receiving less attention.

In the 21st century, we are passing through an era where business is seen as having failed to deliver and we are grappling with issues like the role of business in society, the so-called triple bottomline and sustainability issues. There is a lot of questioning going on and what is emerging is this tripod of management education under the knowing, doing, being framework, which is more amenable to delivering a customised approach to management education.

Both are important content and delivery, along with technology that provides further options to deliver a portfolio mix.

Across nations, there is a sense of disquiet at the ways of businesses and the methods of business leaders, leading to protests like Occupy Wall Street in the US and similar action in other nations. Is this a passing phase or is there something deeper we as society should be worrying about?

This is not a passing phase. Management education is closely linked to business and business has a role to play in human society. The real issues now facing human society are of two kinds: lack of distributive justice and the attendant issues of resource constraints, pollution and environmental degradation. It certainly means that if the current growth strategy along the path of Western economics if the poor nations were to follow it, its certainly unviable from a resource point of view.

What will be required to rebuild trust between managers/ business leaders and society in the days ahead? In your view, what role do B-schools have in this regard?

Basically, the current social economic structure is unviable and unsustainable. Business will have to play some kind of role in an alternative paradigm.

Unesco experts ‘stunned’ by damage to heritage churches in Bohol, Cebu, Samar and Leyte

EVERYTHING was flattened in Leyte, says the Unesco team. Like Palo Cathedral

CENTURIES-OLD Guiuan Church in Eastern Samar

An initial framework for action has been drawn up by foreign and Filipino experts to repair and reconstruct precious heritage churches in Central Visayas, mostly in Bohol, severely damaged during the recent massive earthquake and Supertyphoon Yolanda.

There is a cohesive master plan to bring all actors together. There are termites all over the destroyed buildings and landmarks, and there is need for more documentation, and to beef up security in the areas around the churches.

In the recovery process, culture and art therapy are important.

The faith of the Filipino is heartening.

MOUSSA Elkadhum of Unesco Manila

These are some of the salient points discussed during the recent press briefing given by representatives of the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (Unesco) and its affiliated agencies. This was held at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in Intramuros, Manila.

Resources persons were architect Ma. Jocelyn Mananghaya of the International Council for Monuments and Sites (Icomos/NCCA); Stephen Kelley, an engineer and architect with Unesco; Aparma Tandon of the International Center for the Study and Preservation of Cultural Property (Iccrom); Vellorimo Suminguit of Unesco; and Jeremy Barns, director of the National Museum.

The Unesco and Iccrom technical persons were brought to the country by the Unesco Manila office headed by Moussa Elkadhum.

Terence Netto

In a much-awaited speech on the reform of higher education in Muslim societies, Anwar Ibrahim disagreed with the popular notion among Muslims that western education is devoid of an ethical and moral dimension.

Anwar said this notion, widely disseminated in Islamic intellectual circles, has been a hindrance to the development of Muslims, particularly in the scientific and technical spheres.

.. [T]here is a general perception among the discourse of many Muslim scholars that Western education and philosophy is secular and bereft of an ethical and moral dimension. To my mind, this is unfounded, declared Anwar in a keynote address to a symposium organised by the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) in Washington DC on Monday.

Malaysias parliamentary opposition leader, highly regarded abroad than at home for his intellection, observed that the misperception of western education as ethically vacant was also shared by intellectuals in the west.

He said seminal western thinkers like John Locke and Adam Smith were concerned to found their philosophies on a moral core, but that Smith, in particular, the icon of capitalism, has been seriously misread.

Anwar argued that the moral sentiments that were an integral part of Smiths economic propositions were not at loggerheads with Islamic percepts.

He likened Smiths concern for morality in economics with Islamic thinker Ismail Faruqis conception of a good economy as the expression of Islams spirituality.

To Faruqi, the economy of the ummah and its good health are the essence of Islam just as Islams spirituality is inexistent without just economic action.
