After showing excellent form last weekend, Faizal and Razie will be hoping to continue their scoring exploits when the league resumes today.
Faizal, an international striker bound for a stint in Spain, turned on an impeccable performance with six goals against Maybank (2-2) and Nur Insafi-MBI (5-2) last weekend.
The 21-year-old will be pumped up when TNB play Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) today and then Sapura on Sunday.
"I want to score as many goals to retain my top-scorer award. My performance has given me the confidence and self-belief for forthcoming matches," said Faizal recently.
As for Razie, the 25-year-old defender scored four penalty corner goals for KLHC in their impressive wins over Sapura (5-0) and Maybank (4-1).
Teammate Tengku Ahmad Tajudin Tengku Abd Jalil, who has registered two goals, is the other player desperate to scoop the top-scorer award for the first time.
"I've come close several times since making my debut in 2005. I hope my wait ends this season but of course, KLHC come first for me," said Tengku Ahmad, who has earned 160 international caps to date.
Former champions Sapura, meanwhile, are hoping for a change of luck this weekend.
Sapura, who have three points, will take on winless Maybank today and TNB on Sunday.

How To Think About Buying Stocks

What does it mean to buy stock? Are you simply buying a number, hoping that number will rise so that you can then sell that number to someone else? Some people view the stock market in this way, as a randomly fluctuating collection of numbers, where profit is acheived only by finding patterns or by guessing correctly. This view is admittedly more exciting than what the stock market really is: a place where you can buy pieces of companies. So before I buy a stock, this is the question that I ask:
This is ultimately what matters. I treat buying shares of a company exactly the same as buying the whole company. I don't care about the past performance of the stock because it doesn't matter. The most common mistake that people make is to buy stocks that have performed well in the past. Imagine that you own a car wash and, after all expenses, you pull in $100,000 in profit each year. A man comes in every day and offers to buy your car wash, sometimes for $200,000, sometimes for $2,000,000, and sometimes for amounts in between. The value of the car wash is unrelated to these offers. The value of the car wash depends on how much profit can be extracted from it. Stocks are exactly the same.
The Price to Earnings (P/E) ratio, which is widely used to judge the cheapness of a stock, is supposedto tell you how much the company is selling for relative to it's profits. There are two big problems with this.
To solve these issues, I like to look at a different ratio. I call it the Owner's Ratio. The numerator, instead of simply the stock price, is the total cost of buying the company. This is the sum of the market capitalization and all debt and debt-like obligations that must be paid off. The denominator is trickier. Free cash flow (FCF) is widely used as an alternative to earnings, but even this is not perfect. Instead, I like to look at Owner Earnings, described by Warren Buffett as follows:
Owner earnings tells us, on average, how much cash can be pulled from the business each year. The Owner's Ratio is simply the total cost of the company divided by the owner earnings.
Using this metric, I will look Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) and determine it's true profitability.
Cisco
Cisco is the leader in networking equipment, maintaining a dominant market share in its core businesses. Cisco's stock collapsed after the dot-com crash of 2000, and has since been largely flat.

Epsilon Promises More Personal Email Ads

Email marketers are about to be swimming in new ways to reach their subscribers. This week Facebook will begin letting brands target their email subscribers with ads on Facebook, and on Tuesday (Sept. 4) marketing technology platform Epsilon announced the ability for brands to email consumers based on what device theyre most likely to read and click a link contained in the message at a given moment in time.
As the svp of Epsilons strategic initiatives group Quinn Jalli explained, most people have consistent, device-specific email-checking habits. In the morning most check email on their smartphones or tablets. During the work day most use their desktops to check emaisthen it's back to mobile devices at the end of the day.
But marketers are typically limited in both device and time of day targeting. Epsilon says it can change that by borrowing targeting tactics from the display ad world.
On Tuesday Epsilon launched the Email Response Network, which Jalli said emphasizes clicks over opens. Among the email marketing suites features is the ability to personalize email delivery. Since the network houses email performance data for all Epsilon email marketing clients, the company is able to see how individual consumers respond, such as when they open emails, on what devices and whether they click through to a landing page.
For example, through the network Epsilon can see when an individual subscriber opened a brands email on their iPhone. Because consumers are more likely to act upon an email when it's opened on desktop, Epsilon is able to resend that email at a time when that consumer is more likely to check email from their desktop computer (and thus are more likely to respond). Conversely a marketer could make sure to send an email announcing their mobile app when a subscriber would more likely check it on his smartphone and therefore more likely to click through to download the app, said Jalli.
In addition, the Email Response Network also lets marketers build their email campaigns on the shoulders of each others data. More specifically, a brand is able to identify if some of its subscribers who arent opening emails are also ignoring emails from other clients who are participating in the cooperativethough Jalli said that Epsilon doesnt share data among brands.

iWalk Showcases First Commercially Available Personal Bionics System at the 2012 AOPA National Assembly
Posted: at 11:13 pm
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
iWalk, the leader in Personal Bionics, will demonstrate its BiOM Ankle System at the American Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (AOPA) National Assembly in Boston this week. It is the first time the BiOM Ankle System, the personal bionic intervention enabling natural movement for lower-limb amputees, will be showcased at the U.S.s largest gathering of O&P professionals.
iWalk has created a golf course-themed booth (#117) to illustrate the BiOM systems applicability for amputees to return to the everyday activitiesat home and on the joband the recreational endeavors they enjoyed prior to injury. Attendees can expect a fully interactive experience as walkers, including four-time Paralympian Brian Frasure, will be on hand to provide live demonstrations. The company will also conduct fittings and adjustments of the BiOM system in the booth.
Personal BionicsOvercoming Limitations of Traditional Prosthetics
Personal Bionics emulate a specific individuals muscle and tendon function. While traditional prosthetics only replicate bone structure, the BiOM system emulates the calf muscle and Achilles tendon to help normalize function1. The BiOM system features Powered Plantar Flexion, which is the push-off that enables people to walk with a natural gait and the same metabolic energy as a non-amputee.2
Because it reacts in real time to the terrain and the environment, the user does not have to wait for the device to respond. The Personal Bionic Tuning capabilities enable certified prosthetists to further enhance the user experience by adjusting natural movements to personal preference within normative human performance standards.
Personal Bionics are transforming the prosthetic industryits not enough to simply improve mobility any more, we now have the technology to normalize function and enable people to return to work and other important daily activities faster and with greater ease than ever before, said Tim McCarthy, president and CEO of iWalk. Were only just scratching the surface with the BiOM Ankle System. Stop by our booth at AOPA to get the full Personal Bionics experience and learn more about how our products will redefine the orthotic and prosthetic fields.
As someone who both fits patients with and wears the BiOM Ankle System, I know that Personal Bionics are changing livesI see it every day and truly feel it myself, said Shawn Brown, CPO, vice president of clinical operations of SRT Prosthetics & Orthotics, an iWalk Certified Bionics Center (iCBC). Brown is himself an amputee and a two-time Paralympian. iWalks incredible setup at the AOPA conference will provide a fun, compelling setting to demonstrate the power of the technology. No simple prosthetic could possibly empower me to walk a slope and play a golf ball that is lower than my feet with the confidence and capability provided by a Personal Bionic device like the BiOM system.
Availability
The BiOM Ankle System is generally available nationwide through the iWalk Certified Bionics Center (iCBC) network as well as VA Medical Centers and the Department of Defense. For more information on the BiOM system, visit http://www.iwalk.com. Medical professionals and prosthetists interested in learning more about iWalks products and bionic certification course should visit Booth 117 at the AOPA conference or send an email to contact@iwalk.com.

The veteran rap stars still proved to have the chemistry that brought them together in the '80s as they performed "Do You Really Want Me?" "Shake Your Thing," "I Take Your Man" and "My Mic Sounds Nice."
Two male backup dancers in white T-shirts, New York Yankee baseball caps and blue jeans danced along with the duo, adding to the energy of their set.
During their show, Salt-n-Pepa did a call and response, "complete the lyrics" quiz with the crowd. "Hotel, motel..." Salt said to the audience as they rapped along effortlessly from Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight."
Pepa added a little shock value when it was her turn to give a song, rapping "Hip Hop Hooray." She was then interrupted by Salt, who stated, "You know your baby daddy was just on stage. He already did that one."
"Oh that's right," said Pep.
The fun continued with "Let's Talk About Sex" and "What a Man," which Salt brought her husband of 21 years out to serenade and rap to during the song.
Now it was Pepa's time to let Salt offer some interesting banter. "That's very nice, but see I ain't married," Salt said. "I got a baby daddy. I'ma keep it 100, I gotta a couple of baby daddies. So I'm looking for a good man to come up on the stage right now."
Two willing men answered the call and got on stage and sandwiched Pep as she and Salt finished the rest of the song.
The iconic duo closed out their show with "Push It" while ladies and men alike in the crowd danced and sung along to the 1987 classic.

Jailed Russian punk rocker: No regrets
Posted: at 4:13 pm
(AP) BERLIN - Jailed Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova says she regrets nothing about the band's anti-government performance in a cathedral that got them convicted of hooliganism and sentenced to two years behind bars.
Tolokonnikova told Germany's Der Spiegel magazine in an interview released Sunday that her conviction with her two band mates were Russian President Vladimir "Putin's personal revenge" which served to put a global spotlight on his government.
She said, "I think the bottom line is that the trial against us was important because it showed the true face of Putin's system."
Der Spiegel said the performer's answers to the magazine's questions were provided through her lawyer, who is allowed to visit her in prison.
She says Pussy Riot's goal remains "a revolution in Russia."

Perez 'not too happy' despite personal best

Sergio Perez says he feels he should have done better than fifth on the grid at Spa
The Mexican was able to secure a place on the third row of the grid after setting the fifth best time in the session, although he will now start from fourth after a post-session penalty was handed to Pastor Maldonado.
With team-mate Kamui Kobayashi second on the grid, Sauber was able to celebrate its best qualifying result to date in the session, with Perez now aiming to build on the podium finishes he has already taken this season in Malaysia and Canada.
Second and fifth are really good qualifying positions for our team and I am pleased for the crew, he said, speaking before Maldonado's penalty was applied. Personally I'm not too happy because my last lap in Q3 wasn't perfect. I had the feeling the car was performing differently to this morning.
In any case, the most important part comes tomorrow. It will be a very challenging race on a demanding circuit. I need a good start and I want to fight the people in front of me because I know the car will allow me to do that. I am definitely targeting another podium.
Head of track engineering Giampaolo Dall'Ara was understandably delighted with the result.
Perhaps we should have a wet Friday at every race! he said. Free practice three this morning was quite tough after we had all lost so much time yesterday. We had to put together a lot of work in an hour, which went very well. We found some performance and then in qualifying everything went according to plan. Now let's keep concentrated for the race.

LIKE many expatriates working and living in Malaysia, Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd (MHB) managing director and CEO Dominique de Soras is quick to reveal one of the obvious things he likes most about this country.
I like the food. There's a lot of variety. It's okay-lah, he says in a thick French accent.
However, the Frenchman just as quickly quantifies that statement: Of course, I won't say it's the best in the world.
Perhaps after French food, Malaysian food is the best in the world, he quips.
De Soras was appointed to the board of MHB on Feb 1, 2011 and has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas (O&G) industry, covering areas of petroleum engineering, operations management, commercial and major projects in the oil and gas industry.
Still, he openly admits that joining MHB was not a walk in the park.
It's been a short period (since joining last here). This is my first experience in Malaysia working for a large O&G organisation like MHB.
So far, it's been interesting and challenging, says De Soras.
And challenging it has been. For its second quarter ended June 30, MHB's net profit fell to RM55.32mil from RM79.02mil a year ago despite revenue was up 0.8% to RM965.71mil from RM957.79mil. Earnings per share were 3.50 sen compared with 4.90 sen.
In the first half, its earnings fell 35.7% to RM133.58mil from RM207.93mil. Revenue slipped 13.3% to RM1.631bil from RM1.881bil.
