Le Male Yoga in New York City expands its offer of Power Flow Yoga and Naked Tantric Yoga to accommodate the growing demand of its male-only members and expand the extraordinary community of fit men who want to initiate a lifestyle that liberates, expands and energizes.

New York (PRWEB) January 08, 2013

Taking a bold new direction by creating a Yoga Studio for Men, Joschi Schwarz -- owner of Le Male Yoga -- is inspired by the variety of men who come to the studio with excitement as well as laughter to experience the intimate and provocative new concept. Schwarzs eye to redefining the yoga industry has paid off, men are flocking to the new studio and enjoy a real community of men who want to initiate a lifestyle that liberates, expands and energizes while working out and connecting with each other.

Le Male Yoga focuses on mens unique body blueprints, specializing in classes for men to build on their specific strengths and weaknesses. Power Flow Yoga embodies the masculinity of yoga for men and gives men the opportunity to practice in a safe, yet challenging and fun environment.

Naked Tantric Yoga is a sensual experience for men to practice yoga without the restriction of clothing and leave their inhibitions at the door. As French philosopher, Michel de Montaigne, noted, man is the sole animal whose nudity offends his own companions, and covering the body is one way in which we hide ourselves and our stories from the world. Practicing yoga in the nude helps Le Male Yogas students work with self-esteem, self-image and self-confidence.

About Joschi Le Male Yoga:

Le Male Yoga is for fit men who aim to initiate a lifestyle that liberates, expands and energizes. Le Male Yoga offers Tantra and Vinyasa Yoga to give fit, in-shape and athletic men a unique opportunity to recharge their body, update their mindset and celebrate life.

Le Male Yoga provides a welcoming and real community for all men - gay, straight or bisexual - who enjoy fitness, communal bonding, socializing & having fun in a safe and judgment-free atmosphere.

Explore Power Flow Yoga for a high-heat, high-energy workout, Tantric Yoga to tap into your sexual core energy and Yogassage to enhance the body's erotic potential. Whether students are beginners, advanced practitioners or somewhere in between, LMY offers something for every man. Le Male Yoga offers one-of-a kind classes, workshops, retreats and teacher training programs in New York City and around the world.

Yoga classes resume at Connellsville library

Published: Monday, January 7, 2013, 9:08p.m. Updated 6 hours ago

Yoga classes with Cathy Kumor have resumed at Carnegie Free Library in Connellsville. Kumor invites everyone to discover the many benefits of yoga.

First-time students can try a class for free. The schedule is Tuesdays, 9 to 10:15 a.m.; Wednesdays, 9 to 10:15 a.m. (if you are new to yoga, this class is for you); and Wednesdays, 6 to 7:30 p.m. (this class will begin Jan. 16). The classes are $10 each or a package of three classes for $25. No expiration date on the three sessions. Saturday classes (10:15 to 11:45 a.m.) are by donation, which benefits FRIENDS of Carnegie Free Library. The suggested donation is $5. Everyone is welcome and invited to make yoga a part of their 2013.

With the new year come many opportunities for celebrating and acknowledging anniversaries. The ones that I know about so far are the 110th year of the magnificent Carnegie Free Library of Connellsville, the 100th year of the Molinaro Band, the 50th year of Craig Appliance & Furniture and Fox Glass; and the 10th annual Braddocks Crossing re-enactment of the Youghiogheny River coming up in June. There were several last year that I may not have mentioned at the time, including the 60th anniversary of Lynns Dairy Queen in Connellsville and the 10th year of The Book Case. Id like to hear from anyone who knows of others, so we all can congratulate them, too.

Cait Cuneos record release party will be in Pittsburgh at the Rex Theatre on Jan. 18, where she will debut her first single, Violet. Vince and Cait are anxious to get a big Connellsville crowd there for this special evening. Get more information and directions on Caits Facebook page.

A very interesting speaker at Rotary last week was Kim Giles, the deconstruction manager at Demo Depot. There are so many products and services available there that is impossible for me to remember to list them all. They sell, at great savings, reclaimed and new building materials, hardware, landscape materials, appliances, furniture, windows, doors, flooring, kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixtures, lighting, recycled paint and more all in a very well-organized showroom, the former Cooks Lumber in Mt. Pleasant. They accept donations of reusable building materials and surplus from businesses, manufacturers, homeowners and the general public. Your donations to Demo Depot are tax-deductible, and you prevent the materials from going to the landfill. There are new recycling programs and other benefits to consumers that you can find out about by visiting the business at One Cooks Way, calling 724-552-0491 or going to http://www.ShopDemoDepot.com.

Congratulations to Connellsvilles John F. Wagner Jr. He was recently sworn in as president judge of Fayette County Common Pleas Court. Its a proud moment for him and his family and a prestigious honor of which our community, too, should be proud.

The final report on the FRIENDS Seasonal Cookie Jar Sale was sent by Karen Macko. Commencing at the Mum Festival and completing at Its A Connellsville Christmas, the project doubled its profits from last year.

The FRIENDS members volunteered to help and were the keystone to the success of this project. Not only did the membership sell record amounts of cookie jars, they showed up to do the work by putting Andys Cranberry Cookies and FRIENDS Death by Chocolate cookie jars together. We are blessed with extraordinary volunteers, and they are appreciated! The FRIENDS created a very efficient assembly-line operation in the library kitchen, and we had lots of laughter and fun, too! At every selling opportunity in the community that we attended as a group, the Andys and FRIENDS cookies were always served with coffee or cold drinks, much to the delight of our customers. All monies made are targeted for the library auditorium, Macko said.

A reminder comes to fill out the Carnegie Free Library short survey asking what programs you would be interested in attending at the library in 2013. Please fill it out by going to http://www.carnegiefreelib.org and clicking on suggestions survey. Everyone who responds by Jan. 31 will be entered in a drawing for a gift card.

The Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse expands to Holland

Posted: at 1:47 am

A chic exercise style offered by a Grand Rapids company has come to Holland.

The Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse in Holland Township offers Baptiste-style yoga classes in a room with the heat turned up to 95 degrees and 35 percent humidity.

Hot yoga is definitely become a growing trend, said teacher Larissa Link.

Funky Buddha isnt the only company riding the popularity of hot yoga. The exercises are supposed to relax participants while helping them burn calories and expel toxins by sweating.

Its ... a love-it-hate-it kind of thing, Link said. Many people find it addicting, she added.

Funky Buddha was started by Chris and Kerri Reinbold in Grand Rapids. The Holland Township location is their first expansion of the business.

Weve been in Grand Rapids now for two years now and weve been talking about new locations all the time, Link said.

Requests for them to locate elsewhere have been pouring in, but Holland won out because theres no (other) dedicated yoga space in the city, Link said.

The new location, in the Holland Town Center at 12330 James Street, started offering free community classes Dec. 1 and officially opened Dec. 8. Right now, about three to five classes of various types are offered each day from 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Right now, we are building out our staff so we can offer more classes, Link said.

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S and ThinkPad Helix hybrid tablets announced

Posted: at 1:47 am

without comments

Lenovo continued its deluge of new Windows 8 product offerings at CES 2013, with key additions to its line of Windows 8 hybrid laptops, including a smaller IdeaPad Yoga 11S. These new laptops follow up on the company's earlier announcements of touch-based additions to its IdeaPad and ThinkPad clamshell line.

Lenovo is also launching the ThinkPad Helix, which can function as a pure tablet or dock to a keyboard with additional battery. It looks to be a drool-worthy road warrior's dream system, with 4G LTE connectivity, a full HD display, and a detachable keyboard.

Lenovo's innovative IdeaPad Yoga 13 is getting a little sibling. The IdeaPad Yoga 11S has all the features of the original Yoga, but in a smaller package that weighs just a shade over three pounds. The Yoga 11S will offer a bright, 1366 by 768 pixel IPS display. While Lenovo didn't provide specific configuration details, the entry level model will come priced at $799, and the Yoga will offer a variety of Intel 3rd generation Core i5 CPUs as well as up to 256GB SSDs.

The Yoga 11S comes with full support for 10-point multitouch on both the display itself and the trackpad. Lenovo will also include its Lenovo Motion Control software, which uses the built-in webcam to recognise motion gestures for activities such as flipping through slideshows. The Yoga 11S features the same180-degree hinge as the Yoga 13. The lid can latch into "tent mode" (the screen and body are stood on edge, like a tent) or "stand mode" (where the keyboard is behind the visible display, useful for presentations.) Fully rotated 180 degrees, the monitor is flush with the body, with the keyboard underneath, which allows the Yoga to be used as a tablet.

The Yoga adheres to Intel's Ultrabook spec, at 0.67 inches thick, along with the requisite fast boot capability, and Lenovo says that it should run about six hours on battery power. The Yoga 11S's outer shell comes in both Silver Gray and Clementine Orange, and it features the same rubberized texture that's used on the Yoga 13.

The Yoga's 180-degree hinge may be cool, but the Helix represents the likely future of mobile PCs. The Twist is a tablet that fully docks into a keyboard base. In addition, the tablet can flip over into stand mode. Lenovo calls this combination of detachable tablet, docked clamshell, and stand mode "rip and flip." When separated from the dock, the tablet weights just over 1 pound, 13 ounces; the full clamshell (tablet plus dock) configuration weighs 3.68 pounds; both the dock and the tablet have batteries built in. In Ultrabook (docked) mode, the Helix can run up to ten hours on its two batteries.

The Helix offers a laundry list of features that make it desirable for road warriors. The 11.6-inch screen is an IPS panel with 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution - the same resolution you'd find on a 1080p HDTV. The tablet supports full 10-point multitouch, and it includes a digitiser pen if you prefer using a stylus over your fingertips. Lenovo will offer configurations with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and a range of Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs. Two 1080p capable webcams, front and back, are also included.

The Helix is the first Lenovo Windows 8 Ultrabook to include support for optional 4G LTE mobile broadband,in addition to the built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Helix comes with NFC (Near Field Communication) "tap-and-go" support, so you can exchange data between two Helix systems by simply tapping them together.
