Posted: August 21, 2013 at 3:46 am
Wow, look at Nicole Scherzinger doing yoga balances on the beach in Hawaii!
The X Factor judge left little to the imagination when she posted this sexy holiday snap on her Instagram account, showing off her washboard abs and rock-hard thighs. Couldn't. Be. More. Jealous.
The singer posted the snap with the caption, "Yoga gone bad, lol! #HAWAII." Trust us, Nicole, there's nothing bad goin' on in this shot.
All of The X Factor judges are having a holiday while their acts gear up for the live shows - even Caroline Flack has hurried off to Ibiza pre-The Xtra factor.
*Spoiler Alert*
Nicole's got the 'Over 25s' this year, so she's already been to Antigua to film the judges houses portion of the show. How many sun-drenched beach holidays does one woman need!
According to insiders, Nicole is using this relaxing break to think over her recent break up with Formula One driver, Lewis Hamilton.
A source told the Sunday People, "After the split he was devastated so when he suggested that he fly out to see Nicole, he was delighted she said yes. He went to her house in Los Angeles to talk things through and both thought it was a great success.
"It was the last opportunity when they could spend time together and talk through their future. They desperately want to be together but they know that from now until Christmas is going to be really tough. They're both willing to give it their best shot and try to make a success of it though."
What do you think of Nicole's moves?

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S — Windows 8 done right [Review]
Posted: at 3:46 am
My relationship with Windows 8 is very tumultuous; sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it. However, this is due to the inherent problem with Windows 8 -- depending on what you are doing with it or what hardware you are using it on, the experience is different. I have used Windows 8 devices that are wonderful and others that arehorrible. I often ponder, what if there was a device that could change based on what I was doing? I am happy to say, such a device exists and its called the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S.
The name "Yoga" is very appropriate as the convertible laptop offers multiple positions. No, I am not talking about the downward-facing dog -- this device can be a laptop, tablet and desktop. Lenovo calls these modes "Laptop", "Tablet", "Tent" and "Stand". However, "Tent" and "Stand", in my opinion, have duplicate functionality -- I refer to both of these as "Desktop Mode".
Multiple Positions
As a laptop, the device works as you would expect from Lenovo -- wonderfully. The chiclet-keyboard is outstanding; it offers a very pleasing typing experience. Even though this is an 11-inch device, the keyboard is not cramped. In fact, it feels very roomy and I was able to type as fast on it as any other keyboard. I especially appreciate the rubberized texture around the keyboard,it is very comforting on my wrists and has a premium feel.
While the keyboard is a dream, the touchpad is average at best. On more than one occasion, the two-finger scrolling was erratic and did not work -- it would register as a single finger and move the mouse pointer instead. It didn't happen often but it happened enough to notice. Again, it is not a bad trackpad, it's functional, but it does not seem to be on par with the premium nature of the rest of the package.
Where Windows 8 really shines is on a tablet. On the Yoga 11S, by folding the screen all the way back so the keyboard is facing outwardly, tablet-mode is enabled. I know what you are thinking, and yes -- your fingers will hit the keys. However, the designers at Lenovo intelligently set the keyboard to disable in tablet mode. It feels a little weird at first but you quickly get used to it.
Lenovo does include a keyboard slip-cover if you so choose to use it. It is basically a pouch that slips over the keyboard-half of the device. It's a nice touch, but I consider it just one more thing to carry and lose.
Surprisingly, I found the desktop-mode to be my favorite of the bunch. Whether in "Tent" or "Stand" mode, the laptop acted as a touch-screen monitor with the keyboard hid behind it. When coupled with the wonderfulLogitech TK820, I could comfortably recline at a desk. If you feel an 11-inch screen is too small, you can easily connect a larger monitor using the full-size HDMI port -- awesome!

Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall claims 'fizzy yoga' saved her life
Posted: at 3:46 am
Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has revealed she's addicted to 'fizzy yoga' - a type of hybrid fitness class that combines massage, meditative breathing, physio adjustments and yoga poses.
The 56-year-old credits Physiyoga (aka 'fizzy yoga') for "saving her life" during a gruelling three month run of her latest stage show, Sweet Birth of Youth at the Old Vic.
The physiotherapy mixed with yoga craze started in New York and it's taken the fitness scene there by storm. Kim even admitted to The Times that she hasn't been so passionate about an exercise regime since Jane Fonda's aerobics classes of the 1980s. Wow.
Kim is so hooked that she asked her Manhattan physiyoga teacher, Diana Zotos, to fly to London while she performed on the West End. She also credits London-based instructor, Helen O'Neill, with "saving her life" when she was battling a sore right knee, stiff sacrum and "bruises bigger than a professional snowboarder".
She said, "As I get older, I find that cardio is less important to me. What I want to do more of is intense stretching. I'm not worried about injuring myself because a regular yoga instructor isn't versed in the way of the body like a trained physio is."
During her famous stint as Samantha Jones in Sex and the City, Kim claims her high impact fitness regime was a disaster.
She admitted, "I'd do massive sessions of heavy cardio before each series started and then no exercise at all during filming. I'd just collapse at the weekends."
Now, Kim does two hourly session a week in her penthouse London flat and credits 'fizzy yoga' for helping her live a pain-free life.
What do you think of Kim's fitness craze?

Yoga and resonance
Posted: at 3:46 am
According to yoga wisdom, everything is resonance
The links that meet and sustain the elements of the Universe (things, beings, processes, created phenomena) have as basis the resonance phenomenon.
Due to the resemblance between them, phenomena, objects or subtle energies harmonize, simultaneously vibrate, mutually and selectively evoking each other, by remote action, just like in the case of attuning two emission-reception stations on the same vibrating frequency. In such a case, it is well known that resonance takes place only when the frequency is adjacent or it synchronizes with one of the two frequencies (called own) the resonant system is capable of oscillating.
A transfer of energy from the stimulating system to the resonating one takes also place during resonance. When the resonance condition is reached, the amplitude of the oscillations increases a lot, presenting a certain maximum; it could become infinite if energy leaks due to rubbing factors did not exist. Being a selective phenomenon, resonance offers the possibility to distinguish less perceptible oscillations by other procedures, or to canalize a transfer of energy on a certain frequency in order to trigger a certain phenomenon, like an energy transaction or other kind, for instance.
Interpreting yogis performances in the light of the law of the resonance In assiduously engaged yoga practice, the outstanding multitude of the resonance processes can be indescribably and spontaneously brought into awareness. These processes can be assimilated together with all vibration energy generated phenomena. Sometimes, this vibration energy is extremely subtle and delicate; it works on human being structures different levels. On the other hand, there are real systems or gigantic focal centers of energy in universe or Macrocosmos that vibrate with a similar frequency of the specific energy points in the human beings inner universe; under such circumstances, the respective energy spots act like genuine resonators because they are capable of simultaneously vibrating, due to resonance, when they are stimulated or excited by same frequency vibrations as their own frequency.
In yoga practice, resonance is perceived as an initiating and amplifying process of certain vibrations, awarenessly felt, brought under the action of vibrating energies that come from certain levels of manifestation of the universe. If the yogi maintains his attention focused, in order to notice as accurately as possible the unison of his own energy spot with the corresponding macrocosmic one, the resonance has big chances to appear, stimulating full of original revelation amazing spiritual experiences.
The continuity of the resonance in the yogis inner universe will be maintained only by sustained concentration. The amplitude of the energy vibrations induced and felt by the yogi, then, genuine waves of carrying harmony, meaning and information, is maximum in the case these frequencies are equal, striving for infinite if the resonance triggers are maintained constant. The attention always focused on the respective phenomenon is essential here.
Knowledge is possible due to resonance
Yoga practice allowed determining that a constant energy and information transfer from its system or from universe (Macrocosmos)s stimulating spot to the beings inner universes specific correspondent during resonance. From the moment inner resonance is triggered, a state corresponding the related energy appears in the human being; practically, this is the mystery of inner re-living beautiful states previously felt; they can be "recomposed by simply mental vibration tuning to the wanted state from the past, fact that generates resonance. By a simple extrapolation we discover that science or knowledge of any aspect or phenomenon, thing or being from the universe, ultimately resumes to such resonance processes only, by mutual tuning between connoisseurs consciousness and the being or the object of knowledge.
