Kim Cattrall Credits Addiction to Fizzy Yoga for Fabulous Figure

So that's her secret!
Kim Cattrall revealed in a recent interview with U.K. newspaper The Times that she's been practicing fizzy yoga in an effort to keep her body in shapeand it's definitely working.
The 56-year-old has become addicted to the yoga-enhanced physiotherapy, which is a combination of meditative breathing, physio movements and different yoga poses.
"As I get older, I find that cardio is less important to me," she told the paper. "What I want to do more of is intense stretching."
She also explained that she's less concerned about harming her body with the new fitness plan, adding, "I'm not worried about injuring myself because a regular yoga teacher isn't versed in the way of the body like a trained physio is."

The Sex and the City actress praised her London-based teacher Helen O'Neill with "saving her life" while she was performing in Tennessee Williams' Sweet Birth of Youth at the Old Vic earlier this summer.
She starred in the play for three months and battled a sore right knee throughout, saying that she had "bruises bigger than a professional snowboarder."
Cattrall, who has been battling issues with her knees for almost two years, claims the new type of yoga has helped ease the pain in her legs.
But Cattrall claims that her workout regime wasn't always so finely tuned, especially during her years on the hit HBO series.

Kim Cattrall's secret to staying fit in the nine years since playing randy single Samantha on Sex and the City has a carbonated nickname: "fizzy yoga." The 57-year-old actress opened up about her latest workout addiction to the The Times of London in a recent interview, crediting the latest fitness craze with "saving my life."
"As I get older, I find that cardio is less important to me," she said. "What I want to do more of is intense stretching. I'm not worried about injuring myself because a regular yoga instructor isn't versed in the way of the body like a trained physio [instructor] is."

In physioyoga, practitioners do a number of moves that combine yoga with physical therapy in a way that is meant to both heal and prevent injuries, New York-based yogi Diana Zotos told the New York Daily News.
"When I meet someone for the first time, I do a physical therapy evaluation," Zotos said. "Then we customize a yoga program around that. It targets deficits, will strengthen muscles that are weak and stretch muscles that are tight, while focusing on the core."

Cattrall, who frequently stripped down for her sex scenes in the popular HBO series -- which spawned two feature films -- admitted that though she had a more rigorous workout schedule during the show's heyday, she found it difficult to maintain the routine during hectic work weeks.
"I'd do massive sessions of heavy cardio before each series started and then no exercise at all during filming," she told The Times. "I'd just collapse at the weekends."

Sony teases Yoga-like Windows 8 convertible in advance of IFA trade show
Posted: at 4:49 pm
Lenovos IdeaPad Yoga won raves as one of the best Windows 8 hybrids, so its no surprise that other PC makers are feeling inspired to come up with Yoga-esque designs of their own.
Sony, for instance, has begun teasing a new Vaio laptop that it will announce next month at the IFA trade show in Berlin. The short teaser video shows a piece of paper folded to look like a laptop, then folded into a flat rectangle like a tablet, then folded into a clamshell again with the screen up front.
It all begins with one line, the videos tagline says. This suggests that the device will have some kind of hinge that lets the device fold between tablet and laptop modes, much like the Yoga.
Sonys not the only company thats taken a liking to Lenovos design. During the Computex trade show in June, Dell showed off a hybrid called the XPS 11, which also has a 360-degree hinge similar to the Yogas. The main difference is that Dell is using a flat, pressure-sensitive pad in place of a mechanical keyboard, letting the device fold into tablet mode without having the keys stick out from the underside.
Lenovos IdeaPad Yoga may be inspiring other laptop makers with its design.
Lenovos Yoga was successful because, first and foremost, it was a good laptop. It had a solid keyboard and trackpad, a crisp display with great viewing angles, and a thin and light design. It wasnt top-heavy like some detachable hybrids, and it was reasonably priced at $1000 and up for the 13-inch model. You could have used it purely as a laptop and been happy. (And given the half-baked state of Windows 8 and the lack of modern-style apps, sticking with the desktop was definitely a possibility.)
This laptop-first mentality still serves Windows 8 well. In terms of mobile apps, Windows 8 still doesnt compare to the iPad and low-cost Android tablets, which offer better app selections and lower prices. But it can still shine as a productivity OS with a bit of tablet usage on the side. Thats exactly what devices like the Yoga are meant to accomplish.
IFA kicks off on September 5, so expect to hear more about future Windows 8 devicesincluding Sonys mystery Vaioaround then.
