Commerce, Ucore ink MoU for rare earths development partnership – Creamer Media’s Mining Weekly
Posted: June 9, 2017 at 9:48 am
VANCOUVER (miningweekly.com) TSX-V-listed juniors Commerce Resources and Ucore Rare Metals has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) outlining the integration of feedstock from Commerces Ashram project, in Quebec, with Ucores rare earths separation facility and strategic metals complex (SMC).
Under the terms of the MoU, Commerce will provide mixed rare earth carbonate concentrate mined from the Ashram deposit to perform bench and pilot-scale testing of the metallurgy and metals separation metrics of the prospective feedstock.
The bench work will establish a definitive assessment of the suitability of the Ashram concentrate as potential feedstock for the SMC, with a view to a subsequent long-term supply partnership and offtake relationship.
Testwork will be conducted by IBC Advanced Technologies of American Fork, Utah, with pilot-scale testwork expected to take place at the recently completed SuperLig-One Molecular Recognition Technology (MRT) pilot facility in Vineyard, Utah.
This is a significant development partnership for both Ucore and Commerce. Commerce has undertaken extensive research and testing resulting in a high-quality and high-grade mineral concentrate that will allow for cost-effective processing to our ideal feedstock and, therefore, looks to be a very promising candidate for processing via a MRT separation circuit, commented Ucore president and CEO Jim McKenzie in a news release on Monday.
The Ashram deposit has significant tonnage, good grade, hosts a well-balanced rare earth element (REE) distribution with an enrichment in the magnet feed REEs, and perhaps most importantly, is highly accessible, McKenzie said.
In combination with the SMC, Ashram promises to be a key link in a self-contained North American REE supply chain.
Commerce is well advanced with its metallurgical testing and flowsheet design to produce the Ashram concentrate, incorporating a conventional approach used by current and past rare earth producers. This involves an initial phase of beneficiation to produce a high-grade mineral concentrate of more than 45% rare earth oxides and at high recovery at about 75%, followed by a hydrometallurgical phase that further processes the mineral concentrate through to a mixed rare earth carbonate product suitable for separation. The Ashram metallurgical testwork and pilot plant is located and operated at Hazen Research in Golden, Colorado.
Ucore is now engaged in the detailed engineering and planning of the SMC rare earth separation facility, a joint venture with IBC. The SMC will use SuperLig MRT to separate the REEs, capitalising on advanced pilot-phase testing of the SuperLig-One pilot platform.
The SMC is being designed and engineered as a modular facility, capable of accepting feedstock from varying supply sources and a range of high-quality concentrates. Ucore expects to release a comprehensive design and build schedule for the SMC facility, including an economic analysis of supply sources, in the coming months.
With prospective supply sources located in Quebec, Alaska and the south-eastern US, the selection of the location of the SMC is contingent upon incentives and logistical considerations from multiple competing jurisdictions.

Commerce Resources and Ucore Rare Metals to co-operate on rare earths supply chain – Resource Clips

While China dominates the critical rare earths market, two companies plan to work together on potential North American supply and processing. Commerce Resources TSXV:CCE and Ucore Rare Metals TSXV:UCU have signed a memorandum of understanding to conduct metallurgical tests on material from Commerces Ashram REE deposit in northern Quebec. Characterized by relatively simple mineralogy and a favourable distribution of magnet feed elements, Ashram is currently moving towards pre-feasibility.
The MOU would integrate Ashram material into Ucores SuperLig-One molecular recognition technology facility in Utah. A joint venture of Ucore and IBC Advanced Technologies, the MRT process involves selective separation.
The tests would determine the suitability of Ashram concentrate for a Strategic Metals Complex that Ucore plans to build in Utah to process REEs and platinum group metals. Following the tests, Commerce and Ucore would consider long-term supply and offtake agreements.
Metallurgical tests at a Colorado facility have already produced an Ashram concentrate surpassing 45% rare earth oxides at approximately 75% recovery.
Ashrams high-quality and high-grade mineral concentrate looks to be a very promising candidate for processing via an MRT separation circuit, commented Ucore president/CEO Jim McKenzie. The Ashram deposit is large tonnage, good grade, hosts a well-balanced REE distribution with an enrichment in the magnet feed REEs and, perhaps most importantly, is highly accessible. In combination with the SMC, Ashram promises to be a key link in a self-contained North American REE supply chain.
The news comes as U.S. Congress considers a bill to support domestic supplies and processing for minerals vital to defence, including rare earths. A number of recent reports from the U.S. Geological Survey have highlighted that countrys dependency on possibly insecure foreign sources.
Commerce president Chris Grove added, Security of supply is vitally important and, with our simple mineralogy and successful use of standard processing, we look forward with Ucore to realizing the goal of an independent North American REE supply chain.
Another recent MOU signed by Commerce would have independent power producer TUGLIQ Energy study the potential for wind-generated electricity on the Ashram project.
Last week Commerce closed a private placement of $942,630, which followed a February financing that raised $1.72 million including $1 million from Ressources Qubec, a subsidiary of the provincial government corporation Investissement Qubec.

Nemawer ashram inmates shocked on Indira’s arrest – Times of India
Posted: June 4, 2017 at 10:42 pm
INDORE: A hut on banks of the Narmada river in Dewas district was abuzz with activity as onlookers keenly watched a team of policemen gazing at photographs in their hands and trying to match it with an elderly woman clad in saffron, on Friday.
Geeta Bai, who was fondly called 'Jiji' by pilgrims visiting the ashram, turned out to be Indira Bishnoi, an accused in the infamous Bhanwari Devi murder and carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh on her head. The news came as a shock to the ashram dwellers in Nemawar.
"We can't fathom the fact that Jiji is a murder accused. And that too in Bhanwari Devi case," said Dev Kumar Shastri, a prominent volunteer at the ashram.
Indira had been visiting the ashram once or twice in a month. She offered prayers, meditated and went on her way, without disturbing others, he said. "While in Nemawar, she stayed at a rented accommodation of one Rajkishore Parashar," Shastri said.
Indira had successfully evaded police for six years with meticulous planning. Her three-layered network of security and communication was quite sophisticated, said Rajasthan ATS officers.
"We have been tracking her movements and communication for last five months, but we are yet to fully decipher her messages," Rajasthan ATS SP Vikas Kumar told TOI.
While staying in Harda town, Indira had completely shunned technology and adopted a lifestyle that did not raise any eyebrows and also helped her stay clear of CBI's radar. "She, however, used to manage her business through coded messages," said Kumar.

Ashram flyover to meet DND – Times of India
Posted: June 3, 2017 at 12:41 pm
NEW DELHI: The crawl at Ashram just ahead of the DND Flyway may cease to be a bane for people living in the vicinity of what is among the city's busiest roads. PWD now plans to extend the Ashram flyover till the DND Flyway, making traffic flow on Ring Road smoother, while providing quick access to the main road for residents of Kilokri village located a stone's throw from DND. This will help them avoid a 2-km detour to get on to Mathura Road or to go towards Lajpat Nagar, both of which are actually less than a kilometre away from the village.
According to the plan, the current flyover will be extended by constructing an elevated road that will touch down at a point where the DND Flyway starts. "It will be a kilometre-long span from Ashram flyover. Under the extended portion, we will construct a U-turn that residents of Kilokri village and neighbouring colonies, such as Siddharth Extension, can use to go towards Mathura Road or Lajpat Nagar," said a PWD official.
Near DND, the extended portion will split into two arms one going towards DND Flyway and the other towards Sarai Kale Khan.

To commemorate 100 years of Sabarmati Ashram and Champaran Satyagrah, both closely linked with Mahatma Gandhi, the Railways will run a special train for tourists that will travel through cities of historical and religious importance.
The train, "Gandhi Darshan", will leave from Ahmedabad on June 17 and return on June 26 after a 10-day journey, an official of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) said.
Apart from connecting the two important places associated with Gandhiji, the train from Gujarat to Bihar would also take tourists to various religious places, said Deputy GM (Tourism), IRCTC, V N Shukla.
"June 17 marks 100 years of both Sabarmati Ashram in the city as well as of Champaran Satyagrah in Bihar. Thus, IRCTC has decided to run a train, officially called Astha Special Tourist Train or Gandhi Darshan Train, on June 17. It will be flagged off from Sabarmati station at 8 am," he said.
"The train, having only non-AC sleeper coaches, has capacity to accommodate 840 passengers. The fare, which will be inclusive of all, has been kept at Rs 8,720 per person. It will start from June 17 and come back here on June 26," he added.
The tourists will be taken to various places of historical as well as religious importance such as Wardha, Motihari, Gaya, Varanasi and Allahabad, said Shukla.
The IRCTC may think of operating the train on a regular basis if the inaugural run meets with desired success in terms of response from tourists, he added.

Vrindavan Ashram – Maharajji Neem Karoli Baba
Posted: at 4:47 am
Located a short drive south of Delhi in north central India, Maharajji's beautiful Vrindavan ashram is the likely the most propitious of the ashrams and temples of Maharajji Neem Karoli Baba. The temple at the cremation place of Maharajji's last known body is called Samadhi Stahl. A yatra to this very holy place is always of great benefit to all devotees.
It was in Vrindaban that Maharajji chose to leave His body in 1973. The Neeb Karori Baba Vrindavan Ashram is located in Krishnas holy city of Vrindaban on the plains of Uttar Pradesh. The first temple was inaugurated in 1967. This ashram is on Parikrama Marg a short ways from Mathura Road.
Within this ashram is the Mahasamadhi Mandir of Neem Karoli Baba / Neeb Karori Baba. This is the site of Maharaj-ji's Mahasamadhi Bhandara in September each year. In this ashram are Hanumanji Temple, Durga Devi Temple, Sita Ram Temple, Shivaji Yugshala Temple, and Maharajji's Mahasamadhi Temple.
Maharajji's Vrindavan Ashram has Beautiful Gardens during most months of the year.
Babaji Maharaj has already fixed the date of His leaving this mortal body. He had to choose a place for the cremation of His body and to prepare back-ground for His devotees to build a commemorative temple.
Babaji had already got a yajna performed for nine days in the premises of the temple by His devotee Vishambhar from Aligarh on the occasion of Chaitra Navratra in March-April, 1973.
The place situated between the dharamshala on the northern side of the courtyard and the boundary wall of the temple on the south side leaving one third of the area of the courtyard on either side.
Thus the place was sanctified by adoration of the goddess Durga. Babaji ordered that this small area be blockaded and its sanctity should be maintained.
Babaji left His mortal body in Ramakrishna Mission hospital at night 10 September 1973. Inspired by Babaji's mystic power, Pagal Baba advised His devotees that His physical body be merged with elements inside the ashram.
The devotees, accordingly, made a platform of sandal-wood and cremated Baba's physical body on the sacred festival of Ananta Chaturdashi, on 11 September.
Maharajjis kutiya is a sacred place in Ashram where Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj used to take rest during the Vrindavan stay. The atmosphere inside the kutiya cannot be expressed in words. It is so calm and serene that by sitting and meditating here everyone is lost in another world.
Devotees feel the very presence of Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj. They feel direct communion with Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj. Devotees sorrow, tension, jitters everything is dissolved in the presence of Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj.
Activities at Vrindavan Ashram start with the opening of the ashram. The first arati is at Sri Ram Darbar and Sri Sankat Mochan Hanuman ji, followed by arati to Mata Vaishnav Devi and followed by the last to Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj. In 12 oclock noon the mandirs are closed, reopening at about 3 p.m.. Sandhya Shayan Arati of Sri Ram Darbar, Sri Sankat Mochan Hanuman ji, Mata Vaishnav Devi, then of Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj After Sandya Shayan Arati and bhog, temples are closed at about 8 p.m. Continious kirtan and bhajan are being done by maais in Sri Ram Darbar.
Every Tuesday there is Akhand Hanuman Chalisa Paath at Mahasamadhi temple. Every Tuesday and Saturday there is Sangitmay Sunder Kand Paath in Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj jis Kutiya.
Feeding of poor people is the main feature of Sri Baba Neeb Karori Ashram Vrindavan. Every morning after prayer, chana prasaad and daliya is distributed daily to everyone. On the Wednesday a large number of poor ones are benefited by balbhog (puri, aloo sabji) which is distributed after morning arati. In the evening tea is distributed daily to all. At the time of lunch and dinner prasad is being offered to everyone in ashram.
Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj took special care to see that whosoever comes to the Ashram is given Prasad. Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj said whoever comes to you is your guest. It is essentially against the tradition of Ashram that people should get away without getting Prasad.
Ashram also helps poor in many ways and run many type of charitable activities. In winter distribution of blankets, shawls, and saree to ladies is being done. Poor students are also being helped by providing educational utensils, books fees etc.
Baba Neeb Karori Ashram has a very beautiful Gaushala. In fact, about forty percent of the ashram area is dedicated to cow seva. At present there are approximately 300 cows, calves, bulls, and oxens. There are nearly 20 cows being milked by hand for the exclusive nourishment of ashram deities and the feeding of poor people in the ashram. All the cows and others receives highest quality of care and food.
The very special feature of ashram Gaushala is male calves (bulls) which are being treated in same fashion as cows. In most of Gaushala you will find absence of same as they do not produce milk and are being considered as burden.
All visitors are welcome the can personally visit Gaushala. Devotees can make donations for maintaining Gaushala and feeding the cows.
Some Indians and Foreigners are given rooms at this ashram. A letter of recommendation and prior arrangement with the ashram are very helpful if you wish to participate as an ashram inmate. Additionally some short-stay rooms are sometimes available.
During the stay at Vrindavan ashram active involvement is very much necessary. You must have been involved in ashram activities earlier. If a newcomer wishes to stay in the ashram then it is advisable to have recommendation of an old devotee. It is compulsory.
At the time of bhadaras the accommodation is not available due to limited accommodation available at ashram. It is advisable to contact the ashram well in advance to check the availability of room for stay. You must be present in morning and evening prayers at ashram and contribute in ashram activities.
A valid I.D. proof like Aadhar Card, Visa, PAN Card etc is mandatory requirement for stay in ashram. Whenever you are coming to ashram for stay must bring your valid I.D. proof.
Each and every visitor to the ashram and all persons staying in the ashram must follow the ashram rules to maintain the sanctity of ashram.
