Ringu Tulku Rinpoche Nalandabodhi Boulder is very happy to host an evening dharma talk with Ringu Tulku Rinpoche. Ringu Tulku Rinpoche is a Tibetan Buddhist Master of the Kagyu Order. He was trained in all schools of Tibetan Buddhism under many great masters. He participates in various interfaith and 'Science and Buddhism' dialogues and is the author of a number of books on Buddhist topics. This talk will focus on "Practicing Love, Compassion, and Devotion with Non-Attachment," 6:30 p.m., Naropa University Nalanda Campus, 6287 Arapahoe Rd., Boulder, $15 entry / $5 students.

FAIRS & FESTIVALS

Harvest Farm Bus Tour Boulder County Parks and Open Space will conduct farm tours of our Ag Lands. The goal of the tours is to show residents the spectrum of agricultural production systems, issues, challenges and opportunities on open space lands. The tours will highlight different farms each time, representing field and forage crops, vegetable crops and livestock. Farmers will be available to answer questions. "The Glass Cage" by Nicholas CarrIn "The Glass Cage," Nicholas Carr explores the costs of granting software dominion over our work and leisure. Drawing on psychological and neurological studies that underscore how happiness and satisfaction are tied to performing work in the real world, Carr shows that shifting our attention to computer screens can leave us discontented. Fall Color Tree Walk Enjoy the splendor of the Boulder campus in the fall. Join Vince Aquino to learn about the unique history and features of different trees located on the University of Colorado's campus. This event will take place rain or shine. Opening the Tibetan Treasury of Knowledge: Textual Transmission and Cultural Preservation"Opening the Tibetan Treasury of Knowledge: Textual Transmission and Cultural Preservation," highlights key transformations in the production of Tibetan texts from woodblock prints to digital searchable text. The display includes woodblock carvings of The Treasury of Knowledge, which is among the texts gifted by the Tsadra Foundation to the CU-Boulder Libraries.
