Teacher Emma Bellman and student Georgia Dalton, 7, have won gold at the national aerobics championships.

EMMA Bellman is the teacher, Georgia Dalton the student.

Bellman is 24 years old and was in a teams event, Georgia is seven and competed as an individual. The differences are many but the result the same both won gold at the national aerobics championships in Melbourne on the weekend.

Bellman said Georgia, in her first year in the sport with her EKB Aerobics and Fitness squad, stole the limelight with her victory in the extra mini solo event.

She also provided the comment of the weekend when Bellmans name was announced in the national team to go to the world titles in the Serbian capital of Belgrade in October.

We get to go with Emma, she excitedly told her mother.

But Georgia has another four years to go before she can be eligible for a national team with her extra mini solo event not part of the world championships.

Bellman was excited with her own gold after combining with Geelongs Kayla Bamford and Sheppartons Emma OKeeffe. They formed Devotion which won the senior international womens trio event.

We were third at the nationals last year and our aim all year has been to make worlds, she said.
