Aerobics videos from the 1980s are amusing enough when theyre not set to contemporary pop songs. As SNLs Stefon would say, theyve got everything: spandex unitards, glistening pearly whites, and an overblown enthusiasm thats become unfashionable in the ensuing years. But set one of these heart-pumping videos to the number one pop song in the U.S. and youve got a viral sensation on your hands.

YouTube user Thomas Jung not only found an aerobics video that matches Taylor Swifts Shake It Off within a fraction of a beat, but he found one from 1989, the year of Swifts birth and the title of her latest album. The dozens of aerobicisers clap, pump and shimmy so enthusiastically to the song that its hard to imagine that they could have been dancing to any other music.

This workout is no joke, and if you find yourself unable to keep up with the moves, dont despair: Theres still one copy of the Crystal Light National Aerobic Championship Workout available on VHS on Amazon.
