Naringal athlete’s national aerobics titles frustration

NARINGALS Brenton Andreoli is setting his sights on a golden world championships after leaving the national aerobics titles with unfinished business.

The 20-year-old won gold with Jan Jucs Emily Daniels in the senior mixed pairs competition and silver in the senior mens solo event in Melbourne on the weekend.

But Andreoli said he had mixed feelings after the championships.

Im a little bit disappointed, he said.

But at the end of the day Ive made the national team.

Andreoli, who is taking a gap year before heading to RMIT to study international business next year, said he set himself lofty ambitions.

I was hoping to keep gold all year, he said, following wins at the state and New Zealand titles.

But his great mate Cameron Brown, a former training partner who lives in Newcastle, took the gold in the mens solo.

He said he had wanted to cap a perfect year, expecting university commitments to curtail his training.
