Defendacise, the latest new exercise to get people moving

Could this be the next new exercise craze? Its called DEFENDACISE -and its 'aerobics with a difference' Combining aerobics with self-defence in a fun dynamic work out to music. Its been put together by Helen Rogers (a 36 year old Married Mum of two children), who is a marshal arts instructor. Helen realised that lots of woman would love to participate in marshal arts but think that it is a very male dominated area, where they sometimes feel a little intimidated. Helen, who has been doing marshal arts for 25 years and holds a 4th Dan Taekwondo Black Belt, spent time thinking about what women really want. She says that '' women with children often have very little time to get fit. They want something that is going to make them feel great, get fit and gain a number of different skills in a short time and have fun while doing it.''

Defendacise brings marshal arts together with music and aerobic routines to help gain that full body workout, while having fun and learning new skills. It delivers agility, balance, muscle tone, strength and cardio benefits. Also improving hand eye-coordination, mental agility as well as assisting in weight loss. Participants can expect a good warm up,cardio workout, defence moves and some great music to get your heart moving.

Helen is opening a club at Emerson Green Village Hall that will start on 12th January 2015 at 19.00 to 20.00. No experience necessary just turn up and get ready for your work out.
