THE Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) is looking for volunteers to conduct aerobics sessions following requests made by taxpayers at several housing estates in Seberang Prai.

Council president Maimunah Mohd Sharif said she had been approached by residents in various housing estates, and also received similar calls, following successful aerobics sessions at Taman Tunku in Seberang Jaya and Taman Tugu Kota Demokrasi in Taman Cantik, Mak Mandin.

Instructors, who are willing to volunteer to conduct the sessions, can call Wan Junaidi Yahaya at 04-5497407 during office hours, said Maimunah.

She was speaking after partici- pating in the aerobics session at Taman Tunku on Sunday.

She was also joined by council secretary Rozali Mohamud.

Maimunah said it was a good sign to know that many people wanted to have aerobics sessions in their respective areas.

She added that the councils Health Department staff would be present to provide free basic health screening such as blood pressure and obesity tests during the sessions.

She said the councils mobile tax unit would also be present to facilitate ratepayers to pay their dues without going to the councils office.

Meanwhile, the number of people using the Taman Tunku Recreation Park was overwhelming following its facelift, thanks to a corporate social responsibility beautification project initiated by the MPSP.

Insurance group sales manager R. Kuppusamy said he welcomed the aerobics sessions as it gave residents something beneficial to do on a Sunday morning instead of sleeping at home.
