CADILLAC Members of Julie Deans aerobics class sang For Shes a Jolly Good Fellow as they carried banners at the Cadillac Senior Center Friday.

The center celebrated Deans final day as an aerobics instructor at the center.

An aerobics instructor for 30 years, Dean taught senior aerobics at the center for seven years.

Dean said she began teaching aerobics after being offered to teach a class at Pine Grove. She said although she had no teaching experience, Dean said she was interested in nutrition and healthy living.

I took advantage of that opportunity and Im so grateful to them that they gave me that opportunity, Dean said. This is probably one of the best jobs I ever had.

The celebration continued with refreshments at the building next door, which previously served as a drill deck for the former Naval Reserve building.

Dean and her husband plan to move to Suttons Bay. She said she still plans to teach aerobics.

The aerobics class will continue at the center on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8 to 8:45 a.m.
