THURSDAY, Jan. 8

The monthly dinner meetingof the Chester Lioness Club will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Lamplighter Restaurant, 190 West Main Street, Chester. The topic for discussion will be "Women and Wealth," presented by Margaret Hollywood and Jenna Ragis, CRPC, of Wealth Management of The Hollywood Group at Morgan Stanley. FRIDAY, Jan. 9

Monthly Meditationswill be held at 10 a.m. at the Bernardsville Public Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road, Bernardsville. Bernardsville resident Gail Mardfin will lead a new series of monthly guided meditation sessions in which different types of meditation will be explored with a time of sharing to follow for those who are so inclined. First timers and those with any meditation experience are welcome. There is no charge to attend the program, and no sign-up is required. For more information, call (908) 766-0118.

Holidays Around the Worldwill be held from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Mendham Township Library, 2 West Main Street, Brookside. Children will discover other holidays, learn new traditions, play games, listen to music and dance. Snacks will be provided. This program is presented by the library's Young Adult Leadership Council. Registration is not required.

Line, Color, & Surface opening receptionwill be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster Township. The exhibit, which is curated by Mel Leipzig, will feature work by artists Harry Naar, Susan Ferguson Gussow, Geoff Dorfman, and Tracy Jones through Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015.

SATURDAY, Jan. 10

A free rabies clinicsponsored by the Bernards Township Health Department will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the at the Bernards Township Public Works Garage, 277 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge. No appointments are necessary. The clinic is free to residents of Bernards Township, Bernardsville, Chester Borough, Long Hill Township, Mendham Borough, Mendham Township, and Peapack-Gladstone.

SUNDAY, Jan. 11

Sunday at the Movieswill be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Friends of the Great Swamp's Helen C. Fenske Visitor Center, 32 Pleasant Plains Rd., Harding Township. In addition to the movie, there will be refreshments and a moderated discussion. For more information, call the visitor center at (973) 4259510.
