Most famously known for its dedicated yoga followers - and most infamously for its (now-ex) 'fat-shaming' CEO, Chip Wilson - Lululemon has taken the world by storm in one way or another.

First launched in Vancouver in 1998, Lululemon's first shop shared quarters with a yoga studio - and the romance has been going strong ever since. The brand is nestled into the yoga community, offering a varied schedule of fitness and wellbeing events, not just clothing.

Now available in countries across the globe - most recently in London's Covent Garden - Lululemon has spread its wings and now offers products for a range of sports.

We caught up with Amanda Casgar, Lululemon's community manager to find out why British women should be buying into London's new recruit.

What, as a brand, does Lululemon stand for?

lululemon's mission is to elevate the world and we do this by helping to build healthy communities. This commitment is driven by our values of quality, product, integrity, balance, entrepreneurship, greatness, and of course, fun which are lived by our people, are intrinsic to the success of our business, and are also at the heart of our unique company culture.

Everything we do, from the Metta Movement which our grassroots community sustainability program, to our support and partnerships with local yoga and fitness instructors is guided by this commitment and our values.

What sets Lululemon apart from other women's fitness brands?

We will continue to take the market we created to the next level and lead through our unique combination of quality fabric, fit & function.

We believe that function is fashion. When what you are wearing hits on all cylinders quality, fit, function and beauty you dont want to take it off.
