The Cheyenne County Community Center and the National Excercise Trainers Association, a non-profit fitness professional association, are co-sponsoring two nationally recognized workshops on May 3-4.

On Saturday, May 3, a group excercise certification workshop will be offered between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The class is for potential and current fitness instructors and offers participants a chance to learn basic academic and practical application of teaching group excercise.

No college, science or teaching background is required. The workshop includes a full-day review, written exam, and a two-year certification.

On Sunday, a core boot camp will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The class is designed to provide a cutting edge fat burning, core strengthening, and body transforming. It will cover the core muscles and their functions, as well as how to design excerises to utilize these muscles effectively and cover common errors made while designing boot camp classes.

Each class will be held at the Cheyenne County Community Center at 627 Toledo Street in Sidney, Neb.

For more information on the fees and to register, call Kiersten Richards at (308)254-7000.
