Is it a tablet? A laptop? It's a nifty mix of both, but you'll have to decide if Windows RT is where you want to hang your hat.

The 360-degree Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 looks especially cool in orange -- but, alas, this deal is for the silver/gray model.

An ultrabook ultraportable PC priced at $549 must be considered, especially if it's a convertible -- a system with both a keyboard and a touch screen, the latter able to swing a full 360 degrees into tablet mode.

And I'd say no convertible has received more press than the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga, which was rightly celebrated for its slick design -- if not its operating system.

Update: I tweaked the headline to reflect that the Yoga isn't technically an ultrabook, which is Intel's designation for a system with a particular set of specs.

For a limited time, and while supplies last, Lenovo has the IdeaPad Yoga 11 convertible laptop for $549 shipped when you apply coupon code YOGA11DEAL at checkout. (Sales tax may also apply.)

The key thing you need to know: the Yoga 11 runs Windows RT. For those unfamiliar with the distinction, RT is basically an apps-only version of Windows 8. There's no Desktop mode, no way to run legacy software. Of course, an iPad won't run old Windows programs, either -- and it doesn't have a physical keyboard.

What's more, the Yoga comes with the full version of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, so it does offer at least that much traditional laptop productivity.

Other important specs include an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable flash storage, and an 11.6-inch multitouch screen. The system measures 11.7 inches by 8 inches by 0.7 inch, so it's definitely ultrabook-slim, and weighs a scant 2.8 pounds. That's heavy for a tablet, but quite light for a laptop.

And, as you're no doubt aware, the Yoga can be both. In fact, its 360-degree hinge allows for not only tablet and laptop modes, but also "tent" and "stand." Those are pretty nice for things like watching movies and using the system on a kitchen counter.
