John Raatz and Ami Dar, innovators in very different fields, will meet at the intersection of the citizen sector and the film industry to initiate key dialogue about the evolving climate of entertainment and media, and the opportunities these changes create for social good. The discussion will begin with a special presentation of the award-winning documentary, Who Cares?, directed by Mara Mouro in the Scaling Change tent at ITVFest from 5-7pm on Saturday, September 27th, and will carry over into an open conversation with Raatz, Dar, and B Storytelling founder Julie Fahnestock the following morning. This important film showcases the work of social entrepreneurs from all over the world as they share motivations, missions and projects. This will serve as a relevant prototype of the changing entertainment world that the Scaling Change event intends to explore.

Ami Dar, a visionary social entrepreneur, is the founder of Idealist.org, one of the largest and most influential non-profit websites in the world. Hollywood entertainment veteran John Raatz is Executive Director of the David Lynch Masters in Film Program at Maharishi University of Management, and is also a partner with Jim Carrey and Eckhart Tolle in GATE Transformational Media. They will be joined on Saturdays panel by the dynamic Erin Bagwell, director of the groundbreaking documentary Dream, Girl. Together, the panelists and audience will launch an exploration into the far-reaching implications of entertainment in our world and how social entrepreneurs can best harness the new opportunities it provides.
