Phil Hanley wrote this song at the height of the Katherine Flood on Australia Day, 1998. The song, Higher Ground, was sung on Macca #39;s Australia All Over show live from the Katherine Showgrounds a few weeks later. Personal comments: It was the first, and only, time I had performed on radio - and to such a large audience too! Man, that was scary. From what I #39;ve learned from my Personal Development studies, and from my experience singing live, I am sure I could handle it much better now.
