Help Injured Veteran Father
Hello, my father is an honored retired veteran, because of service-related injuries and diseases, and has served the United States Air Force for 22 years. He is currently in the intensive care unit at a hospital and is fighting for his life. Right now he is on life support and is having trouble breathing. There is only one hospital that can take him in his condition, which is long-care facility, but Tricare does not cover the long-term care facilities. His PCM doctor said his conditions have chance of improving, if they can get him there. But we have been told by hospital, if we don #39;t have money to put him in the hospital, which Tricare doesn #39;t cover, they want to take him from life support. He is in Fairfax Hospital in Virgina and they said that they cannot keep him in there longer and that they have to send him to long-term care facility. My family lives off of his retirement pay and that is not much. We cannot afford to send him to a treatment center and if we don #39;t, the doctors will have no choice but to cut off the life support, taking his life away just because of money. My fathers life is on the line during this holy season. I hope some great people around the world can help keep my father alive, because I don #39;t have anyone else to turn to. My mother is struggling to take care of him, me, and my sister, while trying to get by through the days.
