The senior class helped serve at multiple different Northlake Christian events. One of the more recent events, held Oct. 26, was the school's annual HeeHaw Day.

All of the senior girls were called out of their class to serve the preschool. The girls dressed in their western garb and headed over to the building where they were assigned different jobs. Some helped paint the students' faces with fall-related objects such as pumpkins and leaves, where other girls rode with the young Wolverines on a hayride. Many of the other senior girls helped put on different games for the children. These games included Go Fish, which required the young students to throw a fishing pole over into the ocean and wait to see what they caught, pumpkin bowling, cookie decorating, and the pumpkin toss.

The kids were ecstatic to enjoy the time dressed as their favorite cowboys and girls. Senior Alexis Espinal, who helped work the Go Fish booth, said, HeeHaw Day was a really great experience that allowed me to give back to Northlake in a way that was both fun and entertaining as well as hard work. HeeHaw was a rewarding experience as a senior.

The senior class then helped serve at another annual fall event that took place Oct. 27. This event is known as the Joie De Vie.

Joie De Vie is a silent auction that helps raise money for the school. All of the items are donated by parents, businesses, and organizations to help the school accomplish its goal of crafting Northlake into an even better school.

The theme this year was Denim and Diamonds and this, once again, required the whole senior class to dress up in western apparel. Each member of the class wore a white button-up shirt with cowboy (or girl) boots.

The seniors served the patrons that attended the silent auction their meals, but their service didnt stop at waiting on their diners.

The senior class then performed a two-step dance that they learned with a partner. They danced in couples around the parents and other attendees. After the class finished their dance, they encouraged other parents and patrons to join the dance, and even offered to teach the parents the dance. The dance ended, and the seniors were rewarded with the opportunity to ride a mechanical bull.

Without the senior class Northlakes annual fall events wouldnt have run smoothly and each and every member was glad to help and did so with a servants heart.
