Here's how five people answered this week's question posed by Capital Times freelancer Kevin Murphy. What do you think? Please join the discussion.

"I've taken online courses through a community college and it may work for some people but for my interests, I could never see doing it online. Being able to talk to people is how I learn best. I'm going to school to be a lawyer and I would never go online to get that degree. I really value the social aspect of what I do whether it's work or education or hanging out with friends so, as much as I like the online community, I just engage more and learn better when I'm with people."

"A year ago I started using the Internet to actually help me get better educated because I can't afford to go to college and I have been consuming as much information as I can. I ask questions and the Internet is an easy, affordable way to get those questions answered and I learn as I go along."
